In this episode I talk about the peril of self-sufficiency. In the book of Deuteronomy 8:11-14, Moses warns the Israelites about forgetting the Lord by not keeping His commandments once they attained wealth and prosperity. The books of Chronicles and Kings also record about the King Uzziah who started so well with God, but once he became prosperous and his kingdom was firmly established, forgot the Lord and pride overtook him. David almost fell to the same trap.
Paul cautions Timothy that godliness with contentment is great gain.
Do you ever pray and ask God for direction even the most mundane tasks? Do you rely on God for strength when facing even the tiniest of challenges?
Proverbs3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths."
Let this be your matra in life.

In this episode, I talk about witnessing Christ to friends and family. Are you going to heaven alone or is the love for your friends and family strong enough to have you preaching to them?
In the book of 1 Peter 2:11, Peter tells the believers to have their conduct honorable among the Gentiles/ unbelievers. Paul also speaks to Timothy about the importance of being an example to believers through his conduct, speech, love, faith, purity etc.
It means that it's not really what we say, but what we do which will win over our family and friends to Christ.
How are you witnessing to those who know you inside and out?
The world is obsessed with finding the secret of longevity everywhere else except in God. Since in the wisdom of God, the world in it's own wisdom did not know God, it has pleased God through the foolishness of what is being preached, to save those who believe.
Long life will not be found in finding the cure for cancers, HIV/Aids or chronic diseases. It is not found in modern vaccines or accident free roads. It is only found in Christ. Job 28:28 describes that wisdom is the fear of God. And proverbs 3:16 describes that wisdom holds long life in her right hand.
So you are now among the few people on earth who understands the secret to long life. Amen.

In this episode I talk about God's judgement and mercy as illustrated in the book of Hosea, especially chapter 11. Despite the judgement that God pronounced over the house of Israel, He still speaks hope and restoration over the house of Israel. The theme of juxtaposition of mercy and judgement is repeated in several books of the Bible including Jeremiah and Ezekiel.
This points us to the cross. Salvation is by grace through faith and not by works.

In this episode, I talk about the story of Mary Magdalene in the book of Luke 6:36-44. Jesus was invited to a Pharisee's house, where Mary came and showed care and reverence for Christ, anointing his feet with a jar of alabaster oil and wiping his feet with her hair and tears in repentance. Luke describes her as "the sinful" woman.
Mary henceforth became one of the most loyal followers of Jesus, the first to visit his tomb on resurrection day. Truly, the one who was forgiven much loved the more.
Be careful that you are not among the band of Pharisees who looked onto others with judgment because to them, they had the knowledge of God.
Bethel means God's house. It is the spot in which Jacob saw the vision of the ladder from heaven. This episode talks about the return of Jacob to Bethel where he has first met God and where he had made a vow to Him. This story is found in Genesis 35.
Jacob then instructs his family to put away foreign gods, meaning idols whom they had in their tents, to clense themselves to be ready to worship the true God in Bethel. And it also in Bethel where God changed Jacob's name to Israel.
An important lesson here: Come to Christ. Put away all the idols you have in your possession and in your life and purify yourself. God is ready to transform your life.

I lost a friend who was laid to rest 12th June. His death came as a shock to many because here was a healthy man, full of promise with a young family suddenly collapsing and dying. As usual, death is a moment for deep reflection, about the meaning of life, the purpose of life and our task here on earth.
One of the most important questions to ask is what are you or me taking to the grave? What will your harvest be? When you are called in to hand in your harvest, what are you going to hand in?

in this episode, I share from the book of Revelation 3:14-21, where Christ talks to the Laodicean church. He rebukes them for being lukewarm in warm, not hot nor cold for Christ.
Is your walk with Christ lukewarm? Are you hot or cold for God? What does it even mean to be hot or cold for God? Christ says that whoever does not sow with Him scatters abroad.
It is something that disturbs me so much, to know that one day Christ may deny me because I have no wedding garment. Make the steps to Christ know for sure whether you are hot or cold for him. He says only then can he know what to do with you.
May you be blessed this week.

In this episode, we draw from the life of King David. We start from the time he was anointed to be king in place of King Saul, to when he ascended to the throne. King David typifies the life of every Christian, in that he ad episodes of ups and downs. Actually, what most people associate with King David is his great sin with Bathsheba. However, King David picked himself up from this event and repented.
In Mathew 1:1, Jesus is described as the Son of David. David is our big brother in faith, and his walk with God offers us a good example of what we ought to become as Christians.
I hope this episode blesses you as it blessed me while recording it.
Keep rocking for Christ.
