Unfortunately, there won’t be a new podcast episode this week—but don’t worry! We’ll be back next week with our review of S19 E17 - Apocalypse Cow.
In the meantime, since we’ve been talking about Bart’s lovers during this “Bart Summer,” we thought it’d be fun to revisit our 217th episode: S15 E16 – The Wandering Juvie.
Originally released March 30, 2023
After playing a prank on the whole town, Bart is sentenced to six months of juvenile detention. There he meets Gina Vendetti, who forces Bart to escape with her.
Wanting to meet up with his former love Mary Spuckler, Bart goes to see her, only to find that she's run away from home. After finding that she moved to New York City, the Simpsons travel there in search of her. Meanwhile, not able to afford a Broadway show, Lisa and Marge settle for the free "Shakespeare in the Park", which doesn't go as planned.
After extinguishing a city-wide fire, Bart is rewarded with a driving license. However, he gets tired of taking Homer everywhere, so he escapes and meets a teenage girl who falls in love with him. Meanwhile, Lisa claims she is a descendant of a fake Native American tribe for a school project.
When Marge forces Otto to choose between rock 'n' roll and his bride-to-be, Marge quickly finds herself playing hostess to a now-single Becky. But when Becky's attempt to earn her keep upstages Marge's own homemaking abilities, Marge quickly finds herself losing her mind.
The Simpsons explore Earth in a Nat-Geo style mockumentary.
When Bart & Lisa stop watching Itchy & Scratchy together, Marge fears that they'll start to drift apart... but she has no idea how bad things are about to get.
