This week is all about Daiki and Seina. Will they stand-up paddle board into the sunset together? Or will that engraved bottle of wine remain unopened? Let the trendiness begin and let’s find out.
This week starts with Michiko giving her answer to KenKen. Tecchan receives some harsh criticism that does not bode well for the future of his acting career. Tokui describes the scene that “shortened” things for him and Daiki plans his confession to Seina.
Oni-chan is on tour so the panel welcomes Maru-kun to fill in the fifth seat. Daiki’s legs have healed enough for him to walk without crutches and KenKen comes back from Hungary with a mustache that makes Michiko take notice.
Daiki and Seina go on a near-perfect date to Hakone and Yama has some opinions about their ice cream eating habits. The housemates find out, along with the rest of Japan, that Terrace House is ending in September.
This week starts with Tecchan’s birthday party and Daiki and Yosan join the current housemates in celebration. Ryoko does her part to smooth things out with Michiko. Surfer Daiki asks Seina out to Hakone on an “overnight date.”
We get to see Yosan again! The two couples both agree to go on more dates. Ryoko surprises everyone and takes the highroad to patch things up with the roommates. Despite the good news and general vibe of the house the panel seems confused.
There’s turmoil in the house as Ryoko becomes emotionally and physically distant from the housemates. Tecchan shows his maturity during an important conversation on the couch. Yukatas are donned at the Kamakura fireworks show and Daiki and Seina share a romantic moment.
Cupid’s arrows are flying high this episode as Siena and Michan get to know Diaki a little better. KenKen makes all the wrong moves and eagerly begins his pursuit for romance with the new girl in the house. We get to catch up with Yosan once again and I'm finally giving up on Tecchan finding love in Terrace House.
Daiki is welcomed into the house and goes on a quick grocery run to help prepare dinner. He meets Ryoko who has returned from her business trip in Sendai. After dinner KenKen has a talk with Michiko that takes a surprising turn. The girls discuss how they feel about the male roommates over some drinks.
The roommates welcome Michiko to the house and invite her to the roof to take in the amazing shoreline. They get to know her a little better and after a delicious dinner KenKen drops a bomb on us about his feelings for Ryoko. We also meet Daiki and it seems like there is a new energy in the house to start season 8!
The housemates say goodbye to Ippeichan, Frankie reflects on some of her early conversation with him and has an important conversation with her boyfriend. Tecchan lets the new roommate in and is shook!
Earth’s big day has arrived! Frankie collaborates on her upcoming show taking place in New York City, a very significant handshake happens and Ippeichan shares a big life update with the housemates.
Tecchan invites the housemates to the premiere of his stage show, Seina and Makun share a sad plate of spaghetti, Ryoko makes the trip to Wakayama and gets to see KenKen score, and the panel insists that there is more “trendy” on the way for us.
Ryoko and Kenya talk in the playroom. Earth anticipates a very large crowd for their next show. Frankie’s body art project goes really well and Ryoko plans a covert visit to Wakayama to cheer her crush on.
KenKen leaves again. The house comes together to help Earth promote their make-or-break show, Tecchan does three backflips… in a row! Seina and Makun continue to struggle in the communication department.
KenKen talks to his coach about the challenges of balancing love and career. Frankie checks her phone while being confronted with feelings of neglect from her SO. Earth learns to laugh together again and what the hell is Tecchan up to these days?
Ryoko prepares a nice breakfast as KenKen sets off onto his next business trip. The symbology of the banana is palpable during an emotionally charged conversation between the comedian duo, Earth, and sweatpants be damned as Seina shows up for her dinner date with Makun wearing what she DAMN WELL PLEASES!
Love is in the air at the Terrace House. Both Makun and Seina confide in their friends about their mutual romantic feelings. KenKen returns from China and goes on a date with Ryokochan to a driving range. Tokui and Yama have a great exchange at the end that show Yamachan exploring his romantic/mysterious side.
