Today's guest is the amazing Juliana Araújo.
She is a Senior Product Manager at Spotify. She moved to Sweden in 2018 as an Brazilian immigrant. She is a public speaker and Nordic Women in Tech Awards’ winner where she won Mentor of the Year in 2021 and she is also founder of Beela.
Utilizing her experience, coaching and mentoring skills, she has empowered immigrant women and non-binary people to secure their first tech job in Sweden and has provided a community to share knowledge, experience, and offer support. Aside from diversity & inclusion Juliana is passionate about music, sci-fi and data & analytics.
In this episode we talk about the power of mentorship and meaningful connections. We also talk about networks and how to get a job in tech as an immigrant. We also cover how it is to run a non profit company in Sweden. We talk about diversity and inclusion and the lack of awareness of it in Sweden. We talk about the gender gap in tech, how we keep women in the industry and why it is important to confront your own biases and beliefs.
Hope you enjoy the episode and if it speaks to you it would mean a lot to me if you would follow the show, give it a nice review and share it with your friends.
See you next week and until then hustle smarter, not harder!
xoxo Ivana
