Its a Q&A dedicated to Addison on this edition of Tall Dark and Random! We answer all the pressing questions many of you have for our favorite co-host! We talk tick tock, conspiracy theorists, news channels, Taco Bell and THIS JUST IN.....Shaq traded to the Celtics. (Music: "Looks Red, Tastes Blue" by Mayday Parade)
We truly lived by the phrase "Beware the Ides of March" as we return after a month long hiatus that saw us put March in the rearview. We discuss our faith (or complete lack thereof), Addison talks about being in a committed relationship and almost enrolling in bible college, Nicholas talks the most dreaded month on his calendar, recent anxiety issues, his recent show/travel experiences and feeling out of sorts with a few close friends. We talk last weeks "lost" episode that was more like a lot of us being snippy back and forth and we prepare for next week's big "Ask Addy Daddy" venture. March fucking sucked, but not as much as the band Pillar. (Music: "Lipgloss & Letdown" by A Static Lullabye)
Addison's sick, Nick is prepping to head back to Kansas for shows and the whole world is descending into horror, terror, shock and awe. So what to discuss???? We'd better call Mean Gene and see what is happening on this weeks episode of Tall, Dark and Random!!!! (Music: "To the North Star, Reaching" by Nicholas Grooms
At some point in our life, we all get that bad news call that shakes our world. Whether it is the passing of a loved one, a loss of job, or the end of a relationship, we all must find a way to process bad news. This past week, Nicholas received a potential "goodbye" phone call from a friend that rocked his world. We will use this situation to assess the best ways to process bad news and how to cope while you are feeling the process. We also look back at some listener comments regarding last week's episode. This episode is dedicated to our dear friend Brandon Austin. Get well soon, buddy! (Music: "Masquerade" by Brandon Austin feat. Cana Roth-Austin)
We all have that friend that ditches us as soon as they get a significant other. Why is it like this with certain friends? And how do we speak up about it without causing friction or hurting feelings? We look right to one of the most trusted sources for information on dating and how to approach this...That's right, ladies and gentlemen. This week we consult "Cosmopolitan" to remedy all of our angst. We discuss some past incidents involving our own past significant others and try to assess how we should have better handled these situations. We also read a message from an offended listener ready to give Addison a piece of his mind and use it as an opportunity for growth and seeing something from an alternate perspective. (Music: "Mouth of a Tiger" by Sundowner)
Its a new era here at "Tall, Dark and Random" and were starting fresh with more topics and serious conversation and less of the drunken banter about wrestling and Super Nintendo. This week, we start the new year and our new format by reading letters to ourselves two years into the future with hopes we can use some new techniques to manifest positivity and success in our life's journey. Addison shares his perspective on how people handle the deaths of celebrities and Nicholas gives rebuttal. FINALLLLLLY! A real episode!!!! (Music: "Close Your Eyes" by Digging Graves)
We're back again after another lengthy absence. This week we talk about our whereabouts and some things going on in our lives. Addison returns from Mexico, Nicholas returns from the brink of insanity and somewhere in there we find the alcohol and do what we do best. Good to be back with our listeners! We promise to do better. (Music: "God Knows" by Knocked Loose)
