From the creators of Damn Fine TV and Talking Backwards: A Twin Peaks Podcast, comes Severance Peaks, a brand new exploration into the surreal and sinister world of the Apple TV+ series Severance, while weaving in plenty of Twin Peaks connections, theories, and absurd humor along the way. I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both mysterious and important.
It's been five years since we started this podcast & it's time to party! Join us as we look back & talk good on some of our favorite moments from the show. We'll also attempt to answer some of our lingering Twin Peaks questions. And since it's been a minute, we'll talk about some recent Twin Peaks-related news items like the new David Lynch & Chrystabell album, the Kyle MacLachlan Arby's commercials & Sheryl Lee's recent appearance at the North Bend Theatre.

For many years, Tyler tried to track down the Twin Peaks Murder Mystery game from 1991. After several failed eBay attempts, Laura Stewart was kind enough to send us her copy of the game. Tyler digitized it and last summer & we finally played the game. The entire experience is captured in a gameplay video that will premiere on our YouTube channel on Twin Peaks Day (February 24th, 2024). We delve into playing the game, deciphering the rules, navigating the misinformation on the board, and it was an absolute owl hoot.
While playing the game, we discuss it's quirks, like "dream speaking" and the hilarious inaccuracies in the game content. Laura Palmer herself being a location is just the tip of the iceberg. It's a journey into the surreal, where the rules are fast and loose, and the game's creators may have missed a few episodes of the iconic show. But amid the chaos, there's an undeniable charm to the game's ambition and the fact that it exists at all. It's a mess, but a fascinating one, and we share our experiences and laughs throughout the play-through.
