In this episode the boys were priviliged to have hosted former NBA champion Mike James WHO?!?! Mike James on the show! We spoke about his basketball career, the toll that getting traded did on him and the impact that some of his coaches had on his basketball career. Mike was amazing through the entire episode, we were thankful to have him on our show!
On this special episode, we honored the life of Keeth Tennant. We wanted to make sure that we honored him with someone near to him, so we brought in Patrick Shaw. Patrick spoke about all of his work with the community, his involvement in Shyannes and Tashas life and how the NILs are able to help student athletes still stay in school instead of jumping to the league right away. Episode 1 of Shooting With The Stars, the boys had a chance to sit down with the man, myth and legend; Sam Ibrahim. Sam is the co-owner of the newly added #CEBL team, the Scarborough Shooting Stars. Sam is also the owner of one of the largest sports facility in Ontario, the Playground Global. A man that has his hands in a lot, but genuinely just wants to give back to the community. Sam shared a lot of insight with us on what his plans are for #basketball in #Canada and we are excited to share his plans with you all.
On episode 48, we sat with the owner of Ballers Bridge; Gerald Cannon. We spoke to Gerald about the ups and downs of running an organization for the right reasons, making sure that as coaches and program directors the kids are being seen at the highest levels and of course his role on Ballers Bridge and how they're taking steps in the right direction. The boys sat down with Kayla Davis who played at #Xavier University and #Towson University of the #NCAA and for team #Canada at the U19 circuit. Kayla shared with us some new ventures she is getting into, what she would like to see improve at the #AAU level and discussed her time playing in the NCAA.
In episode 7, the boys sat down with pro basketball player Kaza Keane. Kaza was honest and open with us. Kaza has had a ton of experience with the game of basketball. He has played for #TeamCanada #IllinoisState #ClevelandState, won not 1 but 2 national championships at #CarletonUniversity, The #Raptors #905 G-league team and is now playing overseas. Kaza openly spoke about his family and how they pushed him to work hard, to accomplish what he has accomplished, but most importantly to get him where he is now. On episode 6 we talked to #WeberState guard Koby McEwen about his D1 experiences at #Utah, #Marquette and his expectations for this season at Weber State. We played #overratedunderrated with him and #PerfectWorld as well. Koby mentioned that he had a chance to meet a few big time #NBA players that was able to help him during his time playing D1. In Episode 5 of Talk Your Exposure, we were able to catch up with the coordinator of Rocktop Academy and someone who has coached many great basketball players in Pennsylvania. Sam had the opportunity to coach Richard Hamilton, the Morris twins, Kyle Lowry, Kyle Kuzma, Delon Wright and of course the late great, Kobe Bryant. Sam shared some valuable stories with us on Kobe, Rocktop academy, the pandemic and of course the evolution on basketball.
