Hello, and welcome back to Talk With Becky (TWB).
As we continue our series on Child Development, I had the privilege of sitting down with Ben and Izzy, the founders of Sunnyside Therapy Center. In this episode, they share their inspiring story of how the center began, the types of therapy they offer, some of the challenges they’ve faced along the way, and so much more.
With the understanding that child development is a vital part of every child’s journey, Sunnyside Therapy Center emphasizes their mission: to provide support for children, no matter their condition.
As we learn together through this conversation, may we remember, helping a child means meeting them where they are, and allowing them to grow and learn at their own pace.

Hello and welcome to Talk With Becky.
We’re continuing our series on Child Development, and in this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Charity, a dedicated special needs teacher. Charity studied Special Education at the University of Zambia, and she shares how her journey has shaped both her life and her career.
She opens up about the challenges she has faced, the milestones she has achieved, and the lessons she has learned along the way.
This conversation is not just about her story, it’s also a reminder that every child deserves an environment where they are seen, supported, and allowed to thrive.
So as we dive into this discussion, I’d like to leave you with a question:
—What do you really know about special needs?
—And more importantly, what role are you playing in creating a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for children to grow and flourish?
Talk With Becky S:2 Ep:5 Child Development With Lauren.
Hello, and welcome to Talk With Becky. As I mentioned earlier, over the next few weeks I’ll be diving into a topic that’s very close to my heart — Child Development.
I’ll be speaking with some incredible young people who are actively working with children, whether neurotypical or neurodivergent to explore how we can better support, understand, and nurture the next generation.
On today’s episode, I’m joined by the amazing Lauren , a psychologist, counselor, and co-founder of Shiloh Wellness Center, a space dedicated to the well-being of children. Lauren shares her journey of supporting and guiding children in a mainstream school, and what that experience has taught her.
Join us as we unpack everything to do with children , their needs, their development, and the role we all play in shaping their future.
I’ll leave you with this question: In what ways are you helping children grow in an environment that encourages their development?#talkwithbecky #personalgrowth #yourgrowth #yourchoice #ep5 #childdevelopment
Hello and welcome to Talk With Becky!
In my previous episode, I talked about The Background—what it means to build a foundation for those coming after us and how our daily choices shape that legacy.
In today’s episode, I take that conversation a little deeper by sharing my personal experience of trying to do just that, to build a meaningful background while also learning to live in the moment.
Because the truth is, time waits for no one, and if we’re not intentional, life can so easily pass us by.
I’ve come to realize that sometimes, what we really need is a little pause, a gentle reminder that life is happening right now.
So let me ask you: how are you living in the moment?
Let’s dive into today’s episode.
Welcome back to yet another amazing episode of Talk With Becky!
In today’s episode, we’re diving into something deeply personal and powerful—“The Background.”
I’ll be sharing some of the experiences I’ve encountered in my own life, how they’ve shaped the person I am today, and how they’ve led me to reflect on the kind of background I’m building for those who are watching and looking up to me.
Because here’s the truth: whether we realize it or not, we’re all laying a foundation—through our actions, our words, our choices—for the next generation, for our families, and for those silently drawing strength from our stories.
So, here’s a question for you to carry into this episode:
What do you think of your background story?
How has it shaped you, and what kind of legacy are you creating through it?
Let’s talk about it—honestly, openly, and with purpose.
Another Episode is Here!
Talk With Becky is back with another episode that will challenge, inspire, and invite you to grow—because that’s what this journey is all about: becoming better, stronger, and more intentional.
A few weeks before filming this episode, When It Rains, I had a deep and meaningful conversation with one of my close friends. We talked about life—about the things we hope for, pray for, and dream of. And in the midst of that conversation, a powerful question came up:
When we ask for good things, do we ever stop to ask ourselves if we’re truly ready for the responsibility that comes with them?
In this episode of Talk With Becky, I take that conversation to the camera, and I want us to reflect together: even the beautiful things we desire in life often come with matope—the mud, the mess, the weight.
So, here’s the question I leave you with today:
Are you really ready for what you’re asking for?
Let’s dive in.
Hello and welcome back!
Thank you for joining me once again—our journey continues, and I’m so excited to announce that Season 2 of Talk With Becky is finally here!
In this very first episode, we’re diving into a powerful theme: “Remember Grace.”
Before we explore what that means, let’s take a moment to reflect on the word “remember.”
In Hebrew, the word “Zakar” is used. It doesn’t just mean to recall something mentally—it means to call something to mind with intention, to not forget, to act on that remembrance.
While preparing and filming this episode, I knew I wanted to start Season 2 with something real and necessary—something we all need. Grace came to mind immediately. But more than that, I had a personal encounter that stirred something deeper. It caused me to Zakar—to intentionally remember—God’s grace.
That moment made me pause and ask:
Do we remember grace when we’re dealing with others?
Or do we only Zakar grace when it benefits me, myself, and I?
So I leave you with this question to carry into today’s episode:
How do you remember grace?
Let’s explore this together.
Season Finale – A Moment of Reflection
~~Can He Be Trusted
The season finale is finally here, ladies and gentlemen! Over the past ten episodes, we have grown together, shared experiences, and learned valuable lessons. I am truly grateful for each and every one of you who has tuned in, engaged, and walked this journey with me.
Since this is the final episode of Season 1, I wanted to share a personal experience I encountered last year—one that challenged me, shaped me, and deepened my understanding of resilience and trust.
As you watch or listen to this episode, I want you to reflect on this question: Where do you turn when life gets tough? Where do you place your trust when things feel uncertain?
Thank you for growing with me throughout this season. Your support, your willingness to engage, and your desire for growth mean the world to me. And this is just the beginning! I hope you’re ready for Season 2—coming soon!
Remember, Talk With Becky is about having real conversations that inspire, challenge, and push us toward becoming better versions of ourselves. The question is—is that what you truly want?

Hello, and welcome back to Talk With Becky! In today’s episode, Episode 7, we’re diving into an important and often challenging topic: understanding that, as children of God, we are disciplined when we make mistakes. The Bible reminds us in Hebrews 12:5-6 “The Lord disciplines those He loves.”
But what does this discipline mean for us? How should we respond when God corrects us or calls us to repentance? Today, we’ll explore how to navigate these moments with faith, humility, and trust in His love for us.
Share your thoughts by answering the questions below.
Have you ever been disciplined by God? What was your experience like? Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments section below.

Discussions about money are always important yet delicate.
In Episode 5, Elizabeth said something very intriguing, and I will paraphrase:
“When you get married, the idea is to forsake self and understand that you are one. Fortunately, my husband and I shared this belief: there is money—it is our money. There is no such thing as my money or his money—it’s our money.”
Hearing her say that was truly remarkable, especially given how much things have changed in today’s world.
As we continue this conversation in Episode 6, I invite you to join in and share your thoughts.
What do you think? Is it her money and his money, or should it always be our money?
