Voting Is More than a Right!!!

Why not Vote, our ancestors fought and died to vote we owe it to ourselves in todays racially tense climate to do more than talk about what someone is doing, if we don't vote and do what is constitutionally our god given right we have no say in this fight.

Misogyny vs Sexism: Let's Change the narrative in Black Relations

misogyny vs sexism in America the black home didn't live by these rules, we as a people need to take a better look at why we fail and why we need to change this toxic thought pattern and unite to change our ultimate outcome...

In todays podcast I talk about why this isn't the best way to go, if we plan on getting back to glory back... Now is the time to stand up and let our voices be heard as a unit.

Black Equality Movement #BEM

Let's not just MATTER!!!!

What is misogyny?

The word is formed from the Greek roots misein (“to hate”) and gynē (“woman”). Misogyny is a blatant disregard for women; while someone who is sexist may still be opposed to the fact that women make 78 cents to the dollar, a misogynist will believe that women don’t deserve equal pay because they are inherently lesser than men. Misogyny has been prevalent since Ancient Greece, it was a salient topic in Western philosophy, and it continues today in the objectivization and violence toward women.

What is Sexism?

Sexism means discrimination based on sex or gender, or the belief that because men are superior to women, discrimination is justified. Such a belief can be conscious or unconscious. In sexism, as in racism, the differences between two (or more) groups are viewed as indications that one group is superior or inferior. Sexist discrimination against girls and women is a means of maintaining male domination and power. The oppression or discrimination can be economic, political, social, or cultural.

BLACK ON BLACK CRIME - THE CAUSE, THE CONSEQUENCES, THE CURES
ALTHOUGH THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EXTERNAL CONDITIONS THAT SYSTEMATICALLY CREATE BREEDING GROUNDS FOR CRIME, THE COMMUNITY HAS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF DOING WHAT IT CAN TO ATTACK THE PROBLEM FROM WITHIN. THIS RESPONSE IS NEEDED BECAUSE SUCH CRIME CREATES MISTRUST, UNCERTAINTY, FEAR, AND ANXIETY IN THE COMMUNITY. MORE BLACKS WERE KILLED BY OTHER BLACKS IN 1977 THAN DIED IN THE ENTIRE, 9-YEAR VIETNAM WAR. SUCH CRIME HAS DRIVEN BUSINESSES AND JOBS FROM THE COMMUNITY. PROPERTY CRIMES ALONE HAVE COST BLACKS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS ANNUALLY. MOST IMPORTANT THE YOUNG HAVE BEEN PROFOUNDLY AFFECTED BY CRIME, AS THEY ARE MOST OFTEN THE PERPETRATORS AND THE VICTIMS. SUCH UNDERLYING CAUSES OF CRIME AS RACISM AND OPPRESSION MANIFEST THEMSELVES IN HIGH UNEMPLOYMENT RATES (THE MAJORITY OF FIRST OFFENDERS ARE OUT OF WORK), DRUG ADDICTION, THE BREAKDOWN OF THE URBAN FAMILY, AND AN UNJUST CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM WHICH SHOWS MORE COMPASSION FOR WHITE VICTIMS OF CRIME THAN FOR BLACK VICTIMS AND WHICH PUNISHES BLACK CRIMINALS MORE SEVERELY THAN WHITES. IN ADDITION, THE PRISON SYSTEM SERVES AS A TRAINING GROUND FOR FURTHER CRIME, AND THE MEDIA MAY CONTRIBUTE TO THE CRIME PROBLEM BY PORTRAYALS OF VIOLENCE IN MOVIES AND ON TELEVISION. RESPONSES TO THE PROBLEM INCLUDE THE PUSH FOR EXCELLENCE PROGRAM, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT PROGRAMS, REFORMATION OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM TO DEAL SEVERELY WITH CRIMINALS, DEVELOPMENT OF A NATIONAL PLAN FOR ALLEVIATING THE ECONOMIC ILLS OF THE GHETTO, AND THE REAFFIRMATION OF RELIGIOUS VALUES. Lets as a people get back to what got us here and super size it, because at this rate we will continue to see the same results.

We are not the Status Quo

In today's political world the African-American vote is the hot topic, in my opinion it is the hot topic only during elections. The black vote is very important but do we as a people understand politics the way we need to and are we suckers for a name, in today's Podcast I vent a little about how we as a people always seem to get it wrong, we lost to Trump because we knew the Brand Clinton, this time around we are going with the Brand Biden. can someone help me understand even though we like brands, they're not always the best quality, so what happens we end up disappointed and also wasting money, but for this our VOTE.

If we choose to stick with the Norm we will always be Status Quo, can we want better then what they give us.

Black History Is more then a Month

I would like to Correct Jack Johnson's record He held the World Heavyweight Champion boxing title from 1908-1915 I said until 1950.

This Episode is about my Take on what we call Black History Month, I would like for everyone to take the time and listen to my feeling surrounding the state and mindset of my people and also understand the glory and admiration I have for my ANCESTOR, that live and died to make life better for us yet we don't really take advantage of there sacrifice. WAKE UP let us celebrate and honor the road they built and reinforce it through courage and bravery to do the things we are not comfortable with and make a conditional change for the future of all people world wide.

Justice for Jamee Johnson

Kwamae Jones

Was a 17 year old who was working to get his GED. On Sunday, January 5th, he was shot multiple times by a white, 28 year old JSO Officer Nicholas E. Lawson.

“The Sheriff's Office said this was Lawson's first officer-involved shooting after being on the force for a year and seven months. He was wearing a body camera. But the department has not released any of the shooting footage as Jones' family and the Jacksonville Community Action Committee have demanded it.

The shooting has garnered a loud community response. An estimated 100 people attended a Jan. 17 vigil at Moncrief and 45th, many demanding justice for Jones.

Jones' death was the first of two officer-involved shootings this year in Jacksonville, both involving multiple young black men.”
