In this first episode of Tales, Trails and Tails, Michael Ridge delves into his beginning into the hoop life and nomadic horseback wild tending life way. (The "hoop" is defined as a cyclical life way through the ecosystems seasonal food rounds throughout each year.)
Michael moved out on horseback in 2013 and for the past 8 years he has learned to live sustainably on the land while tending the native food gardens. He explains his first interaction with wild food, meeting the infamous Finisia Medrano and how far he has come with the skills required to live in a good way on the land.
