The real estate industry is the last industry to undergo digital transformation. A lot of the services are completely fragmented, involving people, tools, technology, services, and a tremendous amount of regulatory oversight. This has forced various companies to innovate parts of the ecosystem but nobody has been able to build a unified solution. Because of this, the consumer still has an extremely disjointed, fragmented, and frustrating experience trying to bring all of these pieces together from the start to finish of a real estate transaction. The idea of a super app is a futuristic concept that allows for the WeChat-ification or Amazon-ification of the experience, where the consumer is able to have a smooth and seamless experience, while the app/company is able to manage all the disjointed pieces behind the scenes. We call this “The SuperApp” or the real estate holy grail. We believe that the quest for this holy grail will drive new innovation, challenge existing beliefs, battle-test traditional assumptions, and force the reimagining of real estate as it has never been done before. The goal of this podcast is to explore the practical side of how this is going to happen at the intersection of consumer psychology, technological innovation, and real estate advisory.
