As we reflect on the biblical disciples, we see that discipleship involves a journey of spiritual growth, so the question is are you growing? In September, we’re taking time to explore key elements of our community’s DNA—family, discipleship, and mission. These aren’t just values; they are lived experiences. Being a disciple is an active endeavour, not a passive observation. Deep inside, there is a desire in all of us to bring heaven to Earth. On Sunday, we created a hypothetical meal in the Willis household, with friends who were each asked to bring their favourite dish. We finished with a very eclectic plate, but that plate represented the local church so well. The church is God's idea for humanity, never meant to be just a Sunday gathering but a functional family serving God’s purpose.

In the wilderness, Jesus was tested by the devil, who promised Him all the kingdoms of the world if He would bow down and worship him. Jesus responded firmly, quoting Deuteronomy, underscoring the essence of worship —adoration and service to God alone. Worship is not merely the four songs we sing before the sermon.
