During the Mercedes Benz Swim Shows at the Raleigh hotel on South Beach Kelli Walters from Wilhelmina PA and I caught up with a Spanish hottie named Alexandra Aguilera who is with Next Models Miami. She told us a bit about herself and we enjoyed watching her on the runway (at least I did!) in a couple of beautiful bikinis by Crystal Jin. The Food Friends and Fun – Interactive Dinner belonged to celebrity Chef Dewey LoSasso of The Forge Restaurant. This interactive experience was the ultimate good time for foodies, where tables teamed up to cook their own three-course meal under Chef LoSasso’s tutelage. Bacardi master mixologist Gary Hayward taught everyone a few tricks of the trade and we all enjoyed a few cocktails.

The Chefs With A Purpose: Haiti event was conceived after the devastating Haiti earthquake in 2010.  At the time, the InterContinental Miami reached out to its staff to determine how many were from and/or had family in Haiti. Nearly 90 employees, approximately one-fifth of the hotel’s staff, were affected. The hotel assisted its employees and families in a variety of ways such as assistance in locating lost loved ones and monetary and product donations. The fundraising event was created shortly thereafter to be able to have a greater reach in assisting the people of Haiti.

Global fashion designer Manish Arora rocked Miami's South Beach with a fashion show on Lincoln Road. The show is part of Nespresso's N-Art campaign, which selects various artists to give their interpretation of the Nespresso brand. Manish envisions the 16 Nespresso Grand Crus as fairy tale princesses lost in a forest. Enjoy the tunes of Bitter Sweet as we feature "Dirty Laundry" off the Mating Game album.

MAC Cosmetic's Senior Artist Fred Vellon shows us a great mix of browns with smoky eyes and a matte pink lip. "To the Beach Collection" and "Opulash" from MAC cosmetics were used to create this upcoming look at the CIA Maritima Swim Show at the Raleigh Hotel on South Beach.

This is a good example of a bit of backstage antics. Pretty girls in bikinis and photographers snapping away. Some with flash and others without.

Swimwear Spring 2011 Men’s and Women’s Contemporary Swim Collection. Maintaining the tattoo edge that Ed Hardy is infamous for, designer Christian Audigier incorporated a feminine flare by mixing bright, bold colors and saturated neon’s. New embellishments included zipper accents, lurex straps, chainlink details and custom hardware and textures, taking the authentic Ed Hardy art and giving the brand a fresh, new upgrade. New tie-dye combinations of lime paired with gold, shades of mango, vivid blues and aqua’s, added a tropical twist to the runway. Chris Brown’s model girlfriend Jasmine Sanders walked in the show as well as Corde Broadus, son of rapper Snoop Dogg and Chrissy Teigen, model girlfriend of John Legend also sauntered on the runway.

Beach Bunny Swimwear takes the spotlight on the largest stage, Cabana Grande, presenting the 2011 collection, which includes the latest Kardashians for Beach Bunny Swimwear line. The brand's newest design trio: Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian-Odom were seated front and center. This Beach Bunny Swimwear show features top supermodels including Sports Illustrated's Jessica White, Chrissy Teigen, Lisalla Montenegro, and Dominique Piek. Making her Beach Bunny Swimwear debut is Jessica Rafalowski, the brand's first annual Model Search Winner. Jessica beat out over 10,000 contestants. Designer, Angela Chittenden created this collection themed as Old Hollywood, Safari Glam and Sailor Chic drawing her inspiration from upscale lingerie and her travels around the world. This long version of the full show features original audio ambience including the cat calls from "the guys in the pit" who are our friends and shoot pics and video of all the major shows in Miami, New York, London, paris and Milan.

Trina Turk kicked off 5 days of swim shows at the Raleigh Hotel. Her collection was inspired by the architecture of the 1970's in the Mexican resort of Acapulco. Colorful and comfortable is how one feels in this collection.
