Dr. Magda Parvey began her tenure as superintendent of the Andover Public Schools in July 2021. Prior to her appointment in Andover, Dr. Parvey was the Chief Academic Officer for Middletown Public Schools in Middletown, Connecticut, where she oversaw all instructional programs and was charged with developing a robust Strategic Operating Plan. Prior to her appointment in Middletown, Dr. Parvey was the Interim Superintendent of the City School District of New Rochelle, NY, Westchester County’s second-largest school system. As a lifelong educator, Dr. Parvey has held multiple leadership positions during her over 25 years of experience in school systems in Connecticut, North Carolina, and New York. She is a graduate of Canisius College from which she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dr. Parvey holds a Master of Science degree in elementary education and a Master of Arts in educational leadership and technology, both from Adelphi University; and a Doctor of Education in administration and supervision from Fordham University.
Ms. Lillian Montalto is the founder and leader of Lillian Montalto Signature Properties, Andover’s top brand for real estate sales. Ms. Montalto and her team have closed nearly two and a half BILLION dollars in total sales! In addition to managing her firm, Ms. Montalto and her husband, Bob, are nationally recognized art collectors who have published three books on wood art. They have also exhibited their collection at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. We have all seen her picture in ads and admired her new office building downtown with the purple awnings and flower boxes!
For our sixth episode, we are joined by Hannah Finn, Andover High School graduate, and creator of the One Wish Project. Hannah created the One Wish Project at 14 years old during her freshman year at AHS. The mission of the One Wish Project is to provide the joys of a birthday celebration to children experiencing homelessness who may not otherwise have one. They are committed to instilling self-esteem and self-worth in each of these children with a custom celebration that is as unique as each of them.
