It's a podcast about video games and various tangentially related topics from the perspective of three game developers.
I tried to talk about Kingdom Come Deliverance, but we ended up on a rant about Horses and then one about Witchers. I express my anticipation for Death Stranding 2 and Superman but we get sidetracked into talking about HGH and Ghosts.
I finally did it, I beat Dragon’s Dogma 2 and started on Weird West. I got my brother to play Inscryption so I didn’t have to, and we talk about the terribleness that is the coming AI age and the Switch 2.
We talk about some old Witcher games and I played a game about going to Mars. Is Bakeru the Mystical Ninja successor we’ve been waiting for? And what is Konami even doing these days?
William rants about New Vegas for 20 minutes and I admit I’m not on Hard mode in FF7 Rebirth. Then we talk about new additions to Smash Bros. and a pizza mistake.
Here it is. This is it. It’s episode 100 and you wouldn’t know it other that us talking about how it is for a few minutes before talking more about FF7 Rebirth and Dragon’s Dogma 2. We also hit on a few other games, like Hades 2’s Early Access and Kenshi before wrapping up with Star Wars Outlaws.
We’re dangerously close to 100 episodes. I talk more about how great FF7 Rebirth is. William is playing Dragon’s Dogma 2. And we try to guess what the plot of the actual real Beetlejuice sequel is going to be.
We start off this week talking about The Marvels. William finally finished Baulder’s Gate. I checked out the FF VII Rebirth demo and the God of War Ragnarök DLC. And we consider the mechanics of a monster collection game where you, hopefully, escape having to play poker.
We start of 2024 with talking about more Baldur’s Gate 3 and Deathloop. I rant about Field of Dreams for a bit. Then we move on to some depressing talk of the future of games and the loss of ephemeral media.
It’s the end of the year and we have a lot of Baldur’s Gate 3 to talk about apparently. I bring up Breathedge and survival games and get on to Deathloop. We also go over what stuff you watch when you’re sick over the holidays and do a bit of something like a game of the year discussion.
This week we talk about Loki season 2 and really a lot about the Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 patch. Then we get into a little bit about Spider-Man 2 before trying to figure out just how many people Mary Jane Watson has murdered.
This week we go over what it’s like to beat Starfield. I don’t recommend Final Fantasy 16. Then we discuss prestige television and if it’s actually any good with examples like Invasion and Wheel of Time.
We dig deep into The Flash movie and how insane it is, then we talk a bit about Final Fantasy 16 and Starfield. I bring up GAAS and my experience with Destiny 2 and how games will vanish into the ether.
We talk about losing interest in Diablo IV. Remnant 2 briefly. How neither of us can finish Divinity Original Sin. A bit on Final Fantasy XVI, Valheim, and then on to our disappointment with Marvel’s Secret Invasion.
We talk about the new streaming service Sussex while trying to get through a discussion of the Twisted Metal TV show. And we go over some game’s we played in the interim before getting to our Diablo IV discussion.
We avoid talking about Zelda because neither of us bought is, so we talk about old games we finally got around to playing and they’re both about dads. Returnal comes up a bit and some games I never heard of, like Monster Sanctuary and Night in the Woods.
A lot of talk this week about Metroidvanias, like Bloodstained, Hollow Knight, Batman, and God of War, but also some Roguelite discussion. We also talk about how E3 is canceled. But, did we ever talk about anything interesting?
This time we actually talk about video games like Horizon Forbidden West, Need for Speed Heat, and Boyfriend Dungeon. But that doesn’t stop us from going off topic and bringing up how bad the Boba Fett TV show is or vampire beavers.
This week we get onto talking a lot about the Willow TV show. Media about being in simulations, and the state of the DC Universe. And we actually do end up talking about a game and the controversy around Sports Story.
Our first episode of 2023, so we’re doing an end of year/beginning of the year wrap up or something. We talk about the games we played last year and air our grievances agents them.
