Lyres and Levers: The Shaping of a Software Engineer
The Steiner X Series featuring former students.
Max Chuquimia is a professional software engineer, working on mobile applications and AI. He credits his Steiner education with many offerings that helped shape his approach to work, and life. He didn’t have access to digital devices as a child, yet when he did in early adolescence, he brought an enquiring and practical attitude that made him an active manager of technology, not just a passive consumer. Geometry gave him an inner visual sense of shape and design, one that informs his daily work in coding and programming. Learning the lyre laid a foundation in music that continued into adult life. Listen to Max’s story and hear how lyres and music, Geometry and levers in mechanics, all contributed to the successful shaping of this Steiner educated software engineer.
