Metal started making comedy vlog videos on YouTube in 2016 and he was heavily influenced by Casey Neistat and Peter McKinnon. His first big break on YouTube was actually his video application to be Peter McKinnon’s editor. Metal’s submission stood out from the rest but I’ll let him tell you that story. Trying to find what you enjoy making videos about can be a process and Tiany is no exception. She has tried a handful of niches, anywhere from fitness to movie reviews and lifestyle vlogs. Over the past year, she has narrowed down her focus and found what she likes to make content about. Her channel is now dedicated to videos about Funko Pops. If you’re not familiar with what a Funko Pop is, I’ll let Tiany explain a little later on in the episode. Tiany has become a part of the Funko Pop community online and has grown her YouTube channel to nearly three thousand subscribers. In the episode, Tiany and I talk about her journey of finding her niche on YouTube, her experiences at events like VidCon, and we even make a quick astrology detour.
