Reflecting on Square Hole: Employer Perspectives and What Neurodiversity Can Offer to a Creative Team

As an Art Director/Photographer and Illustrator/Educator, Lorna and Jhinuk unveil their own perspectives on how Neurodiverse traits are attributed to their creative careers. In these combined episodes, they listen back and reflect on points throughout the interview that have directly affected their learning of Neurodiversity, particularly in their own creative processes as well as its impact on the industry at large. Lorna and Jhinuk consider the tension between Neurotypical and Neurodiverse creatives working together in this episode. They respond to creative industry employers and their perspectives on supporting Neurodiverse employees. How can Neurodiversity change mindsets? What are employers looking for when hiring a creative? What do we really mean when we look to create a diverse creative team? Lorna and Jhinuk reflect on what these perspectives serve to the progression of the creative industry whilst looking at the impact of employers hiring outside of their comfort zones.
