Jennifer felt the family home at age 17, shortly after that, her family was homeless and 5 of her siblings were in foster care. She knew she wanted to take custody, and at only 20 years old, she took the responsibility of raising 4 of her siblings. The road was not easy, she had a lot to prove to them, others and most importantly, herself. **warning; there is talk about emotional, physical and sexual abuse, and domestic violence.**

Often times, a person is unaware that she/he may be in an abusive and controlling relationship, until after they have left it. Such was the case for our guest, Jessica Cordova. She explains how she fell prey to a controlling, insecure boyfriend who first showered her with gifts at a very young age. Then as time went on, abuse began, and she knew it was time to leave him. Months later, and to her surprise, Jessica found out she was pregnant and her single mom journey began. But there is light at the end of that tunnel, as she finally found what she had always longed for.
