Living better with Parkinson’s Disease requires more than medication. Exercise and Community are equally important. In the Summer of 2022 the Spinning Wheels Tour cycled 8000km across Canada raising awareness about Parkinson’s Disease and the importance of Exercise and Community. This podcast is an attempt to continue that mission. Join us as we have conversations about what it is like to live with PD, what experiences we share, and how anyone connected with the disease can stay positive and make a positive difference.

Live From Calgary, It’s Spinning Wheels!
Welcome back to Spinning Wheels, Parkinson's Conversations with Jim Here, hosted by Jim Redmond and engineered by Mike Loghrin. If you comment "PD Tea" in the comment section then your name will go into a draw for 2 bags of PD Tea. Each bag contains 20 sachets of PD Tea. Hitting the Like Button does nothing to improve your chances of winning the tea but it does help us out, so why not do that as well. In today's episode, we are continuing doing something just a little bit different! There are a few different reasons for this change. The first is that Mike is busy recovering from successful DBS surgery. He has had everything turned on but now the is some fine tuning to do in order for him to receive the best benefits. We are also excited to announce that there will be a Spinning Wheels, Relay to End Parkinson's Disease coming in the Summer of 2024! Because of these reasons, we decided to go back to the Spinning Wheels Tour for our inspiration for today's episode. Watch as Jim Redmond, Steve Iseman, and Mike Loghrin's hand deliver a YouTube Live from the Spinning Wheels Tour of 2022. Jim and Steve recount some of the challenges of the tour as well as many more of the highlights and great experiences on their way to Calgary, AB. Spinning Wheels, Parkinson's Conversations with Jim Here is brought to you in part by PD Tea: the healing power of tea applied to Parkinson's. It is also brought to you in part by Parkinson's Awareness and Action from Cornwall, Ontario. Links to these sponsors can be found at https://spinningwheelstour.ca/podcast... This podcast is edited by Mike Loghrin (mike@spinningwheelstour.ca) and hosted by Jim Redmond (jim@spinningwheelstour.ca). We can also be reached at info@spinningwheelstour.ca. We ask that you share this podcast with one other person. We are not actually sure that anyone reads these episode descriptions to the end. If you do could you please let us know in the episode comments? We would sincerely appreciate that!
