The Wheel turns, and The Wheel turns. Here we go again, for the first time! Our New Moon in Aquarius always kicks off a Lunar New year, but this year, it's also in alignment with Imbolc. This is a Sabbat and season of fog, dreams, abstraction, and breaking up the old forms to make way for the new.
This work can be confusing, enlightening, and destabilizing.
The New Moon in Aquarius is our yearly check in on our process of coming into alignment with our future, and the possibilities out in front of us. Goddesses like Brigid and Saraswati lend their skills and intellect to this work.
The astrology of this week supports this work - in particular, sending a petition of hope out to the Universe - if we can only stay open to receiving the responses.

The dark is here. The shift in the Sun's path is undeniable as the days shorten and the weather grows darker and colder. The Cross-Quarter holiday Samhain (pronounced "sow-wain") is possibly the most well-known of the Sabbats. Americans celebrate it as Hallowe'en. Samhain is the true tipping point into The Underworld Journey of Winter. Witches! We are smack-dab in the middle of this Sabbat-Season, and this week is more of the same - Harvest, Ancestors, Wisdom work.
We are passing through the holy days of the Eleusinian Mysteries, witnessing the transformation of Kore/Persephone from a Maiden of Flowers to The Queen of the Dead. And Her mother, Demeter, changing from Mother of Life, to Crone and Wisdom Keeper. Mourning ancestral losses, and unavoidable change or endings is all work to clear space for the upcoming eclipses.

WITCH'S THANKSGIVING
SECOND HARVEST
The Wheel of the Year continues to turn for Pagans with the Quarter Sabbat MABON, also known as Fall Equinox. The high point of the Sun's arc over The Wheel is done and with that completion, we see the fullness of The Harvest come to fruition at Mabon. We have reached Fall Equinox, the Quarter-Day festival marking the half way point between Summer and Winter Solstice.
Also known as Second Harvest and Witch's Thanksgiving, at Mabon we continue to explore harvest season through the cornucopia of symbols and festivals found at this time of year. The work of Mabon season focuses on shifting from the drive and ambition of Summer into the fulfillment and resolution of Autumn. Many Pagans see a form of the Goddess known as The Mother giving birth to the massive harvests being pulled in all around the northern hemisphere.
In this lively 2 hour lecture you’ll learn ways to help yourself and your community stay balanced as we shift from the high of Summer into the fall of Fall, and prepare for the Underworld journey of Winter. But the work isn't done after one night!
