Plus, they talked about New Japan in China, Taiji Ishimori's show, a new book on Gorilla Monsoon and the 30th Anniversary of one of New Japan's most important matches.

They also talked about a good first day for Wrestle Kingdom ticket sales, previewed the coming week's action, discussed recent NOAH-related angles and why this is such a big month for wrestling at Sumo Hall.

They also previewed an upcoming double junior heavyweight title match night featuring El Desperado v YOH and House of Torture v TMDK. This week, Steven and Jeremy reviewed the Blue Justic XVI show from Chiba. They looked at each match on the card and whether it did anything to build steam for Destruction in Kobe. Plus, a preview of a strange pay-per-view card, more Road to Destruction, the passing of Taishin Nagao, Hiromu in NOAH and more.

Jeremy Finestone and Steven Conway return with Episode 180 of Speaking of Strong Style! This episode, the broke down the Forbidden Door show, looking at what worked for New Japan's interests, and what definitely did not. They also discussed the futures of Gabe Kidd and Hiromu Takahashi, how Zack Sabre Jr.'s title matches will line up, and other title matches are coming up in the future.  

This week, Steven and Jeremy ranked their top ten matches from the G1 Climax 35 tournament. They also looked at the poor state of New Japan's business, and why it's in the dumps. Plus, they previewed the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, with its trash heap of a main event, and discussed why this show is so insulting to New Japan.  

Steven and Jeremy looked at the G1 Climax 35 Finals between Konosuke Takeshita and EVIL. They discussed the (possibly flawed) strategy of a part-timer winning the company's most prestigious tournament. What is the best path for New Japan if they refuse to push a full timer? Is babyface EVIL on the way? Plus, the debut of the Knockout Brothers, a Kojima Gun reunion, and multiple title challenges.  

The G1 Climax is down to the final four, and Steven and Jeremy discussed the journeys of Konosuke Takeshita, Zack Sabre Jr., EVIL and Yota Tsuji, how they got there and their predictions for the semifinals and finals. They also looked at what heartbreaking losses may do for Yuya Uemura, David Finlay and Shota Umino. Plus, Historic Crossover in China, Hiromu Takahashi in NOAH, and Jeremy delighted in forcing Steven into a conversation on Forbidden Door.

A busy week got busier for Steven and Jeremy as the first four nights of the G1 Climax tournament took place, followed by the news of Hulk Hogan's passing. Steven looked back at Hogan's long history with New Japan and how he became the biggest foreign star NJPW ever had. Plus, they also broke down the G1, with Gabe Kidd's injury, YOSHI-HASHI's run, Taichi's connection to fans and Great O-Khan's impressive match quality catching their attention.
