Asalamu’alaikum WarahmatuLlah Wahbahrakatu.
Welcome back to another episode of soul words; on today’s episode I talk briefly on mental and spiritual health. A raw, faith-centered reflection on depression, stigma, and the active work of healing. To anyone going through this phase you’re not alone; no matter what Shaytaan tries to make you believe. It is Allah who holds the cure for whatever ache you feel.
I believe there’s still more to talk about on this topic and In Shaa Allah there will be more episodes coming. Please stay tuned😊
“ O believers! Seek comfort in patience and prayer. Allah is truly with those who are patient.” (2:153)
Quote shared in the episode;
Dear me,
The pain that you went through once upon a time, The nights that your body ached with pain indescribable, The moments you felt alone despite being surrounded by people; cried in spaces laughter echoed.
The days that you walked narrow paths to seek means to cure, The discoveries that left you in a state of despair and doubts.
You strove through the darkness and emerged with faith.
You trusted your Lord to guide you through and He sufficed you in ways astonishing.
You made peace with pain and didn't let it define you!

Asalamu’alaikum WarahmatuLlah Wahbarahkahtu.
On this episode of soul words we dive into causes of separation, whether it be in intimate relationships, platonic friendships and all that’s related to it. How does separation affect us and what boundaries do we need to set when it comes to the influence people have in our lives.
“Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The example of a good companion (who sits with you) in comparison with a bad one, is like that of the musk seller and the blacksmith's bellows (or furnace); from the first you would either buy musk or enjoy its good smell while the bellows would either burn your clothes or your house, or you get a bad nasty smell thereof."

Asalamu’alaikum WarahmatuLlah Wahbahrahkatu!
Starting anew isn’t impossible but are you willing to let go of what binds you to the past and start with faith stronger than before?
Reference!
Abu Bakrah reported: A man praised another man in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
The Prophet said, “Woe to you! You have cut your companion’s neck! You have cut your companion’s neck! If one of you inevitably praises his companion, let him say: I consider him to be good and Allah will hold him accountable. I cannot testify to anyone’s purity before Allah, but I consider him good as far as is known.”

JazakALlah khairan😊
On this episode of soul words podcast we talk about some of the issues affecting both genders in our society. Does our faith limit us to certain ideologies society places on us??
“O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).” 49:13
JazakALlah khairan for stopping by…
Asalamu’alaikum WarahmatuLlah Wahbahrahktu!! On episode 6 of the soul words podcast I reflect on colliding wants of man and how it affects us differently.
Every misstep on our part is a pathway for shaytaan to step in and deter us from the path of righteousness.
It’s wise that we remain cautious of the thoughts that we let linger especially when it comes to our relationship with people.
Reflections!!
“And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good.” 2:195
Al-Bukhaari (13) and Muslim (45) narrated from Anas that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said
: “No one of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.”
JazakumLlah Khairan!
Asalamu’alaikum WarahmatuLlah Wabahrahkatu!!

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Shall I not tell you about the best of you?" They said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet said, "The best of you are those with the longest lives and best deeds."

Asalamu’alaikum WarahmatuLlah Wabahrahkatu.
On episode four of the soul words podcast I reflect on self-improvement and what it means to me, all I believe it entails and how to take steps on your journey.
As humans we are not immune to change and as life progresses we find ourselves on a constant stream of new experiences, but does that change what the past holds?
Dive in to discover more😊
On episode three of the soul words podcast I share my thoughts on time, its importance and the struggles that come with trying to stay focused on what truly matters.
It’s a constant battle against the Nafs and Shaytan to jealously guard your heart in staying consistent upon goodness. How do you manage to stay afloat even when surrounded by waves of fitnah?
What comes to your mind when you hear of the word “GRATITUDE”?
How much of this quality do we need as humans in order to thrive?
REFERENCE
Dua’a mentioned ; Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni ibaadatik
“Oh Allah, assist me in remembering You, and being grateful to You and worshiping you in a beautiful manner.”
'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The Prophet (peace be upon him) kept standing (in prayer) so long that the skin of his feet would crack. I asked him:
"Why do you do this, while you have been forgiven of your former and latter sins?" He said, "Should I not be a grateful slave of Allah?"
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Narrated `Aisha:
“ A complete month would pass by during which we would not make a fire (for cooking), and our food used to be only dates and water unless we were given a present of some meat.”

Book 81, Hadith 47
What does “Detachment “ mean to you?
What leads to unhealthy attachment and what are its effects in our lives?
How does faith help you detach from what’s not meant for you?
