I have had the privilege and pleasure of knowing Lorraine and her family since I was a young girl and finally got down to a long chat with her about how Japaloupppe evolved into what it is today: a place for the best memories for kids and people to know animals. My time there when it was just a stud farm and we were mad kids was special, but nothing as special like her memories of building Japp and giving so much joy to so many kids, including my own daughter!! My biggest complaint? Why wasn't there a Japp for me when I was growing up??
Enjoy this lovely episode on Japaoluppe's 25th Anniversary year :)

Marc and Karin are a Dutch expat couple who have travelled the world and taken their Mumbai adopted street dogs with them! In a world where people find it easy to dump their pets, this couple is remarkable. They now live in the Dutch countryside, rescuing and adopting all sorts of farm animals: pot bellied pigs, ducks, dogs, cats and more. I loved spending time with them and meeting their lovely animal family. Their commitment inspires me every day!

De Poezenboot is a cat shelter on a houseboat in a canal in Amsterdam, filled with the most beautiful rescues and adoptions. I spent the day there, meeting Judith who has been with them since forever. I also spoke to Judy, one of the staff, and a couple who had come in to adopt a cat. I left impressed, enchanted and absolutely besotted by this beautiful place. https://depoezenboot.nl/en/history
