What are affirmations and why are they important? Affirmations are positive statements that we use on a regular basis Practicing positive affirmations can be extremely simple and all you need to do is pick a phrase and repeat it to yourself. For example, I am enough Choose positive affirmations to motivate yourself, encourage positive changes in your life or boost your self-esteem. If you frequently find yourself getting caught up in a negative self-talk, positive affirmations can be used to combat these often subconscious patterns and replace them with more adaptive narratives. So, if you are wanting to make long-term changes to the way that you think and feel, practice positive affirmations on a daily basis. One of the key psychological theories behind positive affirmations is self affirmation. These studies are based on the idea that we can maintain a sense of self integrity by telling ourselves what you believe in positive ways. The best use of affirmation is to make positive changes in your life, it helps you to raise your self confidence . Affirmations have been linked positively to academic achievement and therefore I think anyone who is willing to work on themselves, and is looking forward to their self transformation, affirmations play a great role. Affirmations work well when setting personal goals and once you've identified your goals clearly, affirmation statements help you feel and act positive. The power of affirmations come to life when you start repeating them to yourself on a regular basis. Your affirmations are always written in present tense . This helps your brain to believe that the statement is true. A few examples of affirmations would be: I am successful I am honest I like completing my tasks I am grateful for the job I have I enjoy working my team I am excellent at what I do I am generous I am happy I am a great leader my team respects and values my opinion Recap :Affirmations are positive statements that can help you overcome self sabotaging negative thoughts. You have the power to take charge of your life by simply understanding The fact that what you choose will shape your destiny so no matter how small or big the choice is it is changing the trajectory of your life every moment. Choice is the most powerful tool we have everything boils down to choice don’t forget we exist in a world filled with infinite possibilities and whenever we realised we are not happy with what we have we can change the direction of our lives by simple change of choice it’s all in our hands how we want to design our life. I choose to live by choice not live by chance to be motivated enough so when I glance I make sure I am consciously choosing and creating my life of dreams because that’s when I want to live and not live where I want to leave.
