In this episode, I sit down with twin sisters, Sara and Stacy Prech, who have spent their entire adult lives side-by-side. From attending college together, becoming nurses, both working in surgery in the same hospital, their paths have always been intertwined. But after feeling the weight of burnout in their nursing careers, they discovered the Nurse Coach Collective, and once again, decided to become nurse coaches—together. They even bought and moved into their first home together.
However, life took a significant turn when Stacy got married, moved out of their shared home, and relocated to Paris to be with her new husband. This transition was the first time the sisters had ever truly been separated in adulthood(we do get into being separated as kindergarteners as well) and it brought up a mix of emotions.
Stacy opens up about the joy of her fairy tale life abroad, while also navigating the loneliness of being far from family in a foreign country especially with some family events at home..We dive deep into the dynamics of their relationship, exploring childhood wounding and high-functioning codependency.
Sara and Stacy share how, during this past year of physical separation, they became aware of the roles they had unconsciously been playing in their co-dependent relationship: one as the "fixer" and the other as the "receiver." We discuss the challenges of breaking these patterns, reclaiming their independence, and learning to live in alignment with their true selves—beyond the labels they had taken on.
The conversation takes us into the power of travel and exploration, not just as an escape, but as a way to truly live life on their own terms. Sara shares her upcoming adventure to New Zealand, where she'll spend five months solo, diving deeper into who she is outside of her twin bond. We also explore the importance of loving yourself as you are, finding beauty in the present moment, and being intentional about travel.
Together, Sara and Stacy are now using their experiences to help clients navigate similar challenges, guiding them to step into their power, break free from limiting patterns, and embrace a life that feels truly aligned and authentic.
Sara & Stacy help women navigate self criticism, heal the pain of not feeling enough, and find the freedom that comes with self love and acceptance.
