On this second episode of Speaker Notes, Jordan interviews Madhumati and Pranaya Spellman, two Hare Krishna devotees and Jordan’s family members. Within this interview we go more in depth about the history of the Hare Krishna movement and Krishna consciousness, and further analyze the ways in which Kirtan music enhances the spirituality of members of this community. The music used in this podcast is a live performance from the Festival of the Holy Name held in Alachua, Florida in 2020.
On this first official episode of Speaker Notes, Jordan interviews Visvambhar ‘Vish’ Sheth, a professional Kirtan musician and Hare Krishna devotee. Within this interview we discuss the history of the Hare Krishna movement and Krishna consciousness, and analyze the ways in which Kirtan music and dance enhances the spirituality of members of this community through methods such as mantra meditation.
