204: The Promise of A.I.

Are humans themselves just like "little ChatGPT bots" programmed to solve problems? This perspective highlights the human drive to address challenges like diseases, climate change, and inequality, seeing AI as a potentially powerful tool.

This Podcast touches upon the negative societal impacts of current algorithms, particularly those driving internet behavior. These algorithms prioritize engagement and advertising revenue over informing or educating, leading to unintended negative consequences. The fear is that AI could have similar detrimental effects.

There is a quote from Elon Musk, Jonatan Haidt, Stuart Russell and Gary Marcus, Sam Harris & Joe Rogan.
