There's this metaphor regarding meditation, that describes how our mind perceives the surface of a lake and then, if we're able to see the diamond that is on the bottom of the lake. Is there too much wind, making the surface of the lake too turbulent, blocking our view? Or the weather is nice and calm, allowing us to see the bottom? The same happens with decisions, conversations, videogames, and a bunch of other things we love. Depending on our ability to see (or not see) below the surface, we'll have different experiences, reactions and behaviours.
