Billi (@SGPSoccer) takes an in-depth look at Manchester United’s prospects for the upcoming season, before moving on to looking at tomorrow’s clash between United and Arsenal at Old Trafford— undoubtedly the most eye catching fixture on the Matchday 1 slate.
This episode features audio clips from the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Amorim, Gary Neville and others. Opinions seem to be very mixed about what to expect from United this season, but United have already surprised many with their summer spending and their ability to still attract big name talents, despite not having any European football.
The EPL is finally back! Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down 8 of this weekend’s 10 Matchday 1 Premier League fixtures, with the action beginning on Friday night— as Champions and title-favourites Liverpool host Bournemouth at Anfield.
Two potential contenders for a top four finish face off in the early game on the first Saturday of the new Premier League season, as Aston Villa entertain Newcastle United. Villa reached the last eight of Europe’s elite club competition last season but they have to settle for the Europa League in 2025/26, while Newcastle’s fifth placed finish was enough to book them a place in the Champions League, for the second time in three years.
In this second part, Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the Premier League Top 5, Top 6, Top/Bottom Half, Relegation and Top Scorer markets for the 2025/26 Season, which begins this Friday evening. Don’t forget to check out yesterday’s episode, which solely focused on the Outright Winner and Top 4 markets.
Once again, the fate of the Champions League places may centre around the outcome of the Manchester City investigation, which is still yet to reach a conclusion. The Premier League issued more than 100 charges against City in February 2023 related to alleged breaches of its financial rules and with allegedly failing to co-operate with the subsequent investigation, and referred the matter to an independent commission. However, while the charges have risen to 130 transgressions, City’s highly lawyers have still managed to draw out the case, which is still ultimately expected to result in a points deduction— albeit not as significant as what was anticipated at the start of the proceedings.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the Premier League Outright Winner and Top 4 markets for the 2025/26 Season, which begins this Friday evening. This episode also glosses over tomorrow’s UEFA Super Cup, as Champions League winners Paris SG take on Europa League winners Tottenham.
Last Season saw Arne Slot surprise everybody by slotting into the huge shoes vacated by Jurgen Klopp last season, hitting the ground running to romp to the Premier League title with Liverpool. Arsenal were, once again, the bridesmaids, while defending champions Manchester City suffered their worst ever season under Pep Guardiola. The market expects the same top 3 in the same order, with Liverpool priced up at around +170 to retain their Premier League crown.

Billi (@SGPSoccer) provides a much needed update on United’s summer tour and transfer activity, after Manchester United became the subject of many heated debates this past week. This was due to the comments of Ruben Amorim, who conducted his first press conference of the new season, in Chicago, ahead of United’s first Premier League Summer Series game against West Ham United— which Manchester United went onto win 2-1.

Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the latest transfer developments so far, and how they’ve impacted the futures markets. Most of the top sides have been busy so far, with the likes of Wirtz and Gyokeres joining the league.

Billi (@SGPSoccer) proves a mid preseason update, primarily focusing on Manchester United’s frustrating and disorganised transfer window. United managed to secure to signing of Cunha early doors, however, things stalled on other names, including Bryan Mbeumo. For the majority of the summer, Mbeumo’s potential move has dominated the headlines and has threatened to fizzle out with plenty of time lost and nothing to show for it.
While incomings have been slow, outgoings have been even worse— which is hugely concerning for United, who are relying on the sales of a number of players - including Rashford and Garnacho - to not only invest in new blood, but to also avoid breaking FFP regulations.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down tomorrow’s FIFA Club World Cup Final between Paris SG and Chelsea. PSG humiliated Real Madrid to make it to this Club World Cup Final, and they are justifiably heavy favourites to lift the trophy for the first time at the MetLife Stadium on Sunday.
While the Parisians incisive attacking work has been impressive, their defence has been rock-solid— conceding only once in this competition. It’s also hard ignore the control that Luis Enrique’s side have exerted throughout the competition. In their semifinal, they had almost 70% of the ball, and limited Real Madrid to just two shots on target and 0.68 expected goals— which should be a huge concern for a Chelsea side who have done just about enough to get through a considerably weaker side of the draw.
Les Parisiens emerged deserved winners against Bayern Munich, and now their sights are set on fellow European giants Real Madrid for this Club World Cup semi-final at the MetLife Stadium, as Kylian Mbappe comes up against his former side.
PSG have looked nigh-on unstoppable since the turn of the year and head into this semi-final having won nine of their last ten competitive games. They were the better side against Bayern Munich, and should be able to get past a Real Madrid side that have only beaten them once in their last four meetings.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all 4 of this weekend’s FIFA Club World Cup Quarterfinals, taking place on Friday and Saturday.
One side of the draw, which concludes on Friday night, looks significantly softer than the other, with Chelsea seen as the favourites to reach the final. On the other side, we will see a repeat of the 2024 Champions League Final, as Real Madrid take on Dortmund, and a repeat of the 2020 Champions League Final, as PSG taken on Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich have won their last four meetings with PSG, but this is a very different side, as Les Parisiens are the reigning Champions of Europe, and head into this clash having won eight of their last nine in all competitions.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the three remaining FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 matches, headlined by the all-European clash between Real Madrid and Juventus on Tuesday night.
Real Madrid clinched top spot in their Club World Cup group with a dominant 3-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg last time out, and they should be able to make the quarter-finals when they face a Juventus side that were battered by Manchester City in their final group game.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the opening five Fifa Club World Cup Round of 16 matches, which begin on Saturday afternoon. Champions League winners PSG topped their Club World Cup group to set up the tie of the round— a reunion with former player Lionel Messi.
While PSG v Inter Miami will garner the most attention, the Parisians should progress comfortably at the expense of Messi’s Inter Miami side on Sunday. Elsewhere, Benfica will take on Chelsea on Saturday while Flamengo take on Bayern on Sunday. The winner of the latter tie will face PSG or Inter Miami in the Quarterfinals.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the final Group G and H matches. Having each won their opening two games with the minimum of fuss against Wydad AC and Al Ain, Juventus and Manchester City have already assured themselves of qualification from Group G, but the incentive for the victor is progressing as section winners.
The winners of this Group G will go into the opposing side of the draw to PSG, Bayern and potentially Real Madrid— if Real Madrid win Group H tonight, as expected. The carrot of avoiding those three and facing Inter Milan and Chelsea instead, could lead to a stronger Guardiola line up than we’ve seen so far.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the final Group E and F group stage matches. Group E looks to be one of the most interestingly poised groups going into the final round of games.
The winner of Inter and River Plate will advance to the knockout stages as section group winners and, while a draw could be enough for the pair, it is of no guarantee with victory for Monterrey over eliminated Urawa Red Diamonds will also take them to five points and cause a 3-way points tie at the top.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the Group C and D matches for the final matches of the group stage.
Back-to-back wins over Boca Juniors and part-timers Auckland City have secured passage through to the knockout stages for Bayern Munich, but they will want to wrap up top spot in their group with a win over fellow Europeans Benfica tonight. This could set up a potential Round of 16 clash against Chelsea, who will need a point tonight against Esperance from tonight’s later kick offs to qualify.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down all of the Group A and B matches for the final matches of the group stage, with two European sides— Atletico Madrid and Porto, on the brink of an early exit.
FIFA and their sponsors would have been delighted to see the likelihood of Lionel Messi playing past the group stages boosted massively by Inter Miami’s 2-1 win over Porto in their second game, meaning the Argentinian’s side now only need a point to progress into the knockout stages.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the second set of Matchday 2 contests, all taking place on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday will see pre-tournament favourites Real Madrid return to action against Mexico’s Pachuca. Xabi Alonso got off to a shaky start as the new Real Madrid Manager, as his club drew their Club World Cup opener 1-1 against Al Hilal. The Spanish giants struggled to convert their chances, while they also looked vulnerable at the other end.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the first set of Matchday 2 contests, all taking place on Thursday and Friday. Friday will see PSG return to action off the back of their 4-0 demolition job won over Atletico.
PSG head into their next match against Botafogo having scored nine unanswered goals across their clashes with Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, two of Europe’s most heralded defences. That’s ominous for the rest of the field in the Club World Cup, with the European champions displaying little fatigue despite their long campaign.
Billi (@SGPSoccer) breaks down the final four Matchday 1 contests, all taking place on Wednesday, which will see Manchester City and Real Madrid opening up their respective tournaments.
Real Madrid get set for a new chapter under manager Xabi Alonso, who was appointed from Bayer Leverkusen as Carlo Ancelotti’s successor, and they will be expected to make a winning start to Group H against big-spending Saudi side Al Hillal. While there could potentially be some teething problems in Alonso’s first competitive game in charge, the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior should still see them come out on top.
