The story of Doechii is nothing without the story of 11-year-old Jaylah Hickmon. For Jaylah, 'Doechii' wasn't a name plucked out of thin air nor was it a persona or a symbol of someone who was in need of an alter ego, 'Doechii' was much more than any of that because Doechii is a mindset that saved an 11-year-old from giving up on what life had to offer.
