The Beyond 1% Podcast is part of Sir Robert McAlpine’s 1% campaign, named because around only 1% of people working on the tools in construction are women. This podcast began as a series highlighting the real experiences of women in construction. The podcast has evolved, and will feature a range of stories and themes that are relevant to the construction industry today. We are committed to having at least 50% of the guests as women as we explore new topics and stories throughout the year. Our goal is to empower and educate with real conversations with a range of people in the industry.

Welcome back to the Sir Robert McAlpine Beyond 1% Podcast. We are pleased to announce the podcast is returning as a regular addition to our media channels, and will feature a range of new themes and guests in the construction industry.

We will continue to champion women in construction, but will broaden our topics of conversation.

In support of World Environment Day on June 5 2021, this is the second in a two part episode talking to three Sustainability Managers at Sir Robert McAlpine.

Imogen is a Graduate Sustainability Manager, working on Springfield University Hospita l and South London and Maudsley Hospital.

Louise is a Graduate Sustainability Manager, working across several Special Projects sites in London.

James is a Sustainability Manager, working across several sites in London.
