Beyond 1% Podcast Episode 5 - World Environment Day and Working in Sustainability Part 1

Welcome back to the Sir Robert McAlpine Beyond 1% Podcast. We are pleased to announce the podcast is returning as a regular addition to our media channels, and will feature a range of new themes and guests in the construction industry.

We will continue to champion women in construction, but will broaden our topics of conversation.

In support of World Environment Day on June 5 2021,  this is the first in a two part episode talking to three Sustainability Managers at Sir Robert McAlpine.

Imogen is a Graduate Sustainability Manager, working on Springfield University Hospital and South London and Maudsley Hospital.

Louise is a Graduate Sustainability Manager, working across several Special Projects sites in London.

James is a Sustainability Manager, working across several sites in London.

This episode covers working in sustainability, what their day to day looks like on site, the importance of soft skills, and the need for diversity in the construction industry.

We hope you enjoy this episode, and stay tuned for part two coming soon. Please check out Beyond 1% Podcast to view all our previous episodes.
