Dearest Fellow Seekers,
Starting next Wednesday, Ash Wednesday, The Prayer Path will bring you 7 weekly prayer journeys which, using the stations of the cross as signposts on the way, will guide you along the pilgrim path that Jesus took to Easter joy, The Calvary Way. In this weeks prayer journey we hope to prepare you to travel your own Lenten pilgrim journey by helping you to imagine it from the perspective of someone who might have watched or followed Jesus along the way. We could imagine it from the perspective of any one of a number of people who encountered Jesus', loving, healing and forgiving presence, but for these journeys, inspired by A book called ‘The Stations of The Cross by Vincent Sherlock, we look at it from the unique view point of the woman judged to be in adultery.
Special words of thanks go to Vincent Sherlock for his permission to use his wonderful book, 'The Stations of The Cross' as the inspiration for this Lenten program, and to Salt of The Sound for their beautiful music. I’d also like to thank Niamh for giving voice to The Woman Judged in Adultery – she will replicate the role each week for the upcoming series of Lenten prayer journeys.
Have a Peaceful Journey
John
