Packaging made responsibly
Every year, over 2 billion tonnes of waste are produced, and 8 million tonnes of plastic makes its way into our world’s oceans. We see a different way.
That’s why packaging has been one of our sustainable focal areas since the 1990s, and why we’ve had a packaging policy in place since 2013. Our goal is to maximize recyclability while minimizing the environmental impact of our packaging by using recycled materials and/or certified renewable materials from responsible sources.

Since its introduction in 2019, the EU Green Deal has encountered obstacle after obstacle, from a pandemic to armed conflict to the AI boom. Yet it remains the EU's "man on the moon" ambition, and switching to #connectedLEDlighting remains one the of quickest ways to make progress. #Signify expert Mario Giordano explains at #LightThatConnects
In this podcast series, we’ve been talking about the many different technical aspects of connected lighting, how and where it can be applied, and the benefits to people, businesses and the planet, mostly from a manufacturer’s or provider’s perspective.
What is the perspective of a market leader?
What are the main challenges and opportunities customers are facing today?
What do you tell customers when they don’t understand new technologies and standards, or when they don’t understand how to proceed toward fulfilling their ambitions or mandates?

Uniquely yours, for all your lighting needs and beyond
The Custom Dashboard lets you tailor your smart lighting solutions – and your dashboard itself – to your unique needs. It gives you precision control over your lighting and energy, whether you’re managing a building, street, highway, or city. An update on the existing dashboard, the Custom Dashboard is integrated with a range of additional benefits.
As before, you can view detailed energy, fault, and occupancy data across individual areas or your whole operation, but now you can also combine areas, set up needs-specific targets and notifications, delegate access on an area-by-area basis, create custom light buttons, and export reports.
BrightSites is an innovative broadband-enabled lighting solution developed by Signify, transforming existing street lighting infrastructure into a high-speed connectivity network. By replacing existing luminaires with LED broadband-enabled ones, cities can provide gigabit-speed internet access via streetlights—without requiring extensive fiber trenching. Listen and learn more.

3D printing can remove carbon from all phases of product manufacturing, distribution, and use.
3Dprinting is good for the planet, because it can remove carbon from all phases of the product lifecycle.
But it's also good for customers, who can design luminaires to fit their exact specs.
Instead of structurally changing a ceiling to fit new LED luminaires, building renovators can choose the exact dimensions and lighting requirements they need with 3D printed luminaires.

"Europe needs a renovation revolution. We're pleased to unveil this new project, shortly after European nations spearheaded a global call to action on energy efficiency at COP28. With elections taking place across Europe in 2024, the hard work starts now. Dragging up desperately low renovation rates in Europe is critical to improving energy efficiency in the built environment. Governments and corporates must support cities, businesses, communities and citizens, to open up their toolboxes and begin a renovation revolution.”
