This week I continue the tradition of watching a sequel to a film that I haven’t seen before or I don’t remember too well. The Princess Diaries 2 is our film this week and it is mid at best. Be prepared for rants in this episode and enjoy the show.
Happy Halloween everyone! This week I discuss the 2012 film The Grey. This movie is definitely not a horror film and in fact it can be quite philosophical. The fear comes from not only being chased by wolves, but also being vulnerable and true to yourself as a person. Stay safe out there and enjoy this week’s show!
This week I discuss the Tales from the Crypt movie Demon Knight. This movie is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but it does have its charm and some humorous moments. The scares aren’t really the best in my opinion but it might be worth a watch if oddball horror movies are your thing. Enjoy this week’s episode.
This week I want to celebrate my birthday with one of my favorite Western films, The Revenant. This movie has some of the best scenic shots and the story is told with minimal dialogue and has some of the most iconic scenes in cinema. This movie is based loosely off of Hugh Glass and his real life story of surviving a very gruesome bear attack. I truly enjoy this movie and I hope you enjoy this week’s show!
This week is a listener requested film as I review The Princess Bride! This film has a fantastic reputation and was even selected to be preserved by the Library of Congress. Thank you so much for the wonderful submission and I hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I review a viewer recommendation! The Iron Giant is the subject of this week’s show. This was the last fully animated film that Dreamworks produced, and it is still a beautiful film. I hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I rant on the 2025 film Novocaine. This movie is exactly mid and I explain how the advertising for this film kind of set it up for failure in my opinion. Although this is a shorter episode this week, it is still a fun episode. Enjoy the show!
This week I review the 2025 film Caught Stealing. This movie was advertised as a kind of humorous movie where someone ends up being at the wrong place at the wrong time, but it turns out to be way more depressing than that. Enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I discuss the 1996 horror film The Craft. I saw this movie a few times when I was younger and I remember enjoying it, but does it still hold up after all of these years? The memorable scenes definitely stuck with me and I’m glad so was able to see the film again. Enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I watched an absolutely outstanding film La La Land. It has to be one of my favorite movies that I’ve watched this year so far, but what do you think? This film has some of the best romantic storytelling and I can’t wait to share it with you. Enjoy the show!
This week I throw it back to 1995 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. The Power Rangers were one of my favorite shows as a kid and I remember really enjoying this movie, but does it still hold up? Enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I review the Horror/Thriller film “Weapons.” This movie has a unique story told from many perspectives and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. *If you are easily squeamish and are triggered by bodily harm, maybe sit this episode out.* Enjoy this week’s episode!
This week Megan returns to the show for her first time in 2 years as we review a film that she highly recommended, KPop Demon Hunters! This film has great music, a fantastic story, and great messages that can resonate with everyone. Thank you Megan for such a fun time! Enjoy this week’s show!
This week is a bit of a twofer. I talk about my most recent concert experience seeing Midnight Generation and how much I have enjoyed their music. The movie this week is the 2005 film Red Eye which has plenty of suspense and will keep you entertained! I hope you enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I take a look at Driving Miss Daisy. This film was the last PG rated film to win Best Picture back in 1989. Does this film still stand the test of time or has it aged poorly? Enjoy this week’s show!
This week I discuss the 2006 film She’s the Man. Staring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum, this gender swapping comedy still holds up nearly 20 years after its release! Shoutout to the viewer that recommended this episode and enjoy this week’s show!
This week is another viewer requested movie as I review Convoy. This movie isn’t Smokey and the Bandit, but it is a trucker movie that tries to relay a lot of points but it doesn’t quite stick the landing. The action and destruction scenes are cool though. Enjoy this week’s episode!
This week I review another viewer recommended film, “Starship Troopers.” This Sci-Fi action drama is outstanding and I had a lot of fun watching it, even though this movie comes with a lot of criticism. Enjoy this week’s episode!
Happy Independence Day from Shufflebox! This week we have a viewer requested film Independence Day: Resurgence. I thought it was quite fitting given the holiday weekend, but is this film as good as the first film in the franchise? I wouldn’t know I’ve never seen the original film. I hope you enjoy the show this week and be sure to have a safe holiday weekend!
June Belushi month 2025 wraps up with the 1987 film Homer & Eddie. This film is definitely different, but does it stand out enough to be a classic…..I don’t know about that. Regardless, Jim Belushi stars in this film and I watched it, so get ready for this week’s episode. We will reunite with Jim Belushi once again in 2026.
