In part four today, I discuss the importance of sleep. Sleep can be argued as the MOST important component to optimal health for many reasons;
- sleep affects our cognitive function
- sleep affects almost every tissue and system of the body
- sleep rules our recovery and metabolism
- getting enough sleep helps us regulate hormones, balance blood sugar, increase our energy
- sleep affects our mood and productivity...and decision making!
I also give some suggestions to try to build a sleep routine/ritual and discuss practices that work for me.
