IDK about you but the world is feeling WAY more insane and heavy than usual. I started this little challenge for myself to find a tiny crumb of joy to cling to each day for at least a 5% boost to keep me from going into full despair mode. Shockingly a lot of other people wanted to join in too so now we have a super easy mental health and self care accountability group for people who have the teeniest bit of motivation to get through the day. The bar is low and we're keeping it easy
My own personal Barbie and long time friend, Alexandra Shipp, joins me this week for a very extra special post SAG/AFTRA strike chat to talk all things Barbie movie, how her character was in love with Margot Robbie (shocking? I think not), working with Greta Gerwig, smashing gender expectations, and taking some important life advice from mountain goats.
This week body positive fashion trailblazer and co-founder of Iranian Diaspora Collective, Nicolette Mason is here! We chat about how we're juggling mental health during a time when it seems like at least one part of your identity is being attacked somewhere at all times, the importance of community healing, and carving out your own lane in a world that doesn't always represent you.
This week HINA joins me for what honestly just feels like any conversation we'd have bantering over lunch. You know them from their witty and hilariously brilliant Tik Tok bits (if you don't literally sprint over to @Hina's profile there immediately). We get into lesbian culture and how it's represented in media, astrology games, how outside perception can limit our pursuits, and some of the best dating advice I've learned from my single years of the past.
COMMUNITY SERVICE ADVICE TIME!
Submit your questions to hello@iamkittens.com and I'll give my literal expert level advice during solo episodes every other week.

Since language around gender/sexuality/identity is limited, nuanced, and ever evolving, some of the terms used here may become outdated. Please know our intention in this space is to be inclusive and validating of all marginalized identities. KITTENS is committed to learning the most appropriate terminology along with her guests, but just incase anyone gets it wrong...we apologize in advance and promise to do our best to stay on top if it. xo
E.R. FIGHTMASTER joins me this week for a god damn DOOZY of an episode. They're intimidatingly cool and good at basically everything. We packed in an absurd amount of topics so buckle up. We get into new music they just dropped (which is FAB), the SAG/WGA strike they're on, the difference between acting & making music, why the WNBA is superior, trailblazing for nonbinary folks in TV/Film, reclaiming "DYKE" as an identity, why you couldn't pay either of us to be straight, queer breakup trauma, and how resisting change just makes you a grumpy loser when you're older :) ENJOY IT OKAY? OK.
Following people on social media...being a fan...it's a slippery position to be in. You can end up having a one sided relationship with someone who doesn't know you exist..assuming all kinds of things about who they really are as a person or their personal life, leading to let downs or odd behavior.
I've been dealing with the loss of a good friend and seeing the response to their passing on social media along with everything happening regarding Doja Cat/Lizzo has made it clear...people need to take a step back and understand they don't know everything.
If you have someone like SHELBY BELFAST in your corner consider yourself blessed. She's the strongest (in all ways) woman I'm grateful to call a friend. A strength coach to elite professional athletes, with a fire for equality brighter than her hair...SHELBY joins me to debunk all the reasons people use in attempt to exclude trans women from professional sports and how taking her own body from pinup model to superhero saved her life. Her background in professional fitness and education around health/hormones/competitive sports makes her the perfect person to break down the facts, shut down the bullshit, and arm you with knowledge to deal with any ill informed humans.
Life has been wild lately for me and clearly everyone else in the world. With all the strikes and lay offs happening...it really makes you realize that not everything goes as planned..so why not plan for the things you CAN control and leave the rest up to destiny shall we?

JOZZY breaks down her journey from being a closeted kid in Memphis to being one of the most celebrated artists/songwriters in music all while creating safe spaces and trailblazing for masc queer women along the way.
You know when you know of an artist before they get all popular and feel like you’ve been able to watch them grow and gain so much love and you’re just PSYCHED for them?? That’s how I feel about Jozzy but she’s also been a very good friend for many years as well as an incredible artist I love.
Watching her go from behind the scenes songwriter making ends meet to winning Grammy’s & writing iconic songs for BEYONCE, LIL NAS X, PHARRELL, MADONNA, and SZA...Plus finally getting to take the stage and be celebrated as an artist herself has been so inspiring and I couldn’t be happier watching someone so humble and down to Earth win. A true testament that no matter where you come from, you can make your dreams come true if you stay focused. Hope you like this one<3

Has anyone asked you why you are 'choosing' to be gay or "different" or anything that's just part of you because it makes them uncomfortable? Some things within us aren't a choice...but we make the decision to be authentic or not...which can be hard for people to accept. In this episode we'll go over ways you can challenge people to see and accept you for who you are, along with some hacks to be happier because life's hardddd.
KITTENS sits down with Nashville Drag Queen's, Vidalia Anne Gentry & Delta Granta to chat about how the attacks on LGBTQ+ rights and 'Drag Bans' have backfired on the bigots and how they've defied conservative societal pressure to become their most sparkly authentic selves.
Life is hard and it's easy to beat yourself up, become impatient, and spiral into negative thoughts. This episode will explore self forgiveness and how to 'trust the process' when you're feeling let down in life.
KITTENS sits down with JORDAN GONZALEZ from HBO's Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin to discuss representation on screen for trans men & trans masc individuals, JORDAN'S revolutionary role as ASH from PLL, and how coming out a queer or trans person can empower chasing your career dreams.
G FLIP sits down with KITTENS to discuss their goals as a nonbinary artist, their relationship with Chrishell Straus from Selling Sunset, the difficulties of being thrust into the mainstream (and largely Cis-Hetero) spotlight, and managing work/life balance as an artist.
ZOLITA sits down for an interview with KITTENS to share how she got into music, filmmaking, the 'lesbian gaze' used in her music videos, and using media to heal.
REZZ sits down with KITTENS to open up about her private struggle with anxiety, sleep deprivation, finding healthy love, and advice for aspiring music producers.
