The goal is to create relatable content with a coterie of entertaining and diverse guests, film curation insights, and humor. Donyale was the sixties It-Girl, but not in the United States. Even though she was born and raised in the U.S., her tall, lithe, impossibly thin frame, and exotic look created more curiousity than admiration.

Donyale's unique look caught on in Europe where she found a new home as an exoticized jewel, but exoticized, nonetheless. I'll explore her origins story and encourage you to watch the new HBO documentary: DONYALE LUNA: SUPERMODEL by director Nailah Jefferson, premiering September 13, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO Max.
