Shila is my classmate in the Ayurvedic Doctor program given by Kerala Ayurveda
Academy. She comes from an Indian family, grew up in Germany, went to medical
university in India and now live in Bahama.

It is interesting to hear her story about how Ayurveda came to her after she
finished her medical university and how she met KAA to start her ayurvedic
educaiotn. Shila plans to set up her ayurvedic clinic in Bahama and it is so
exciting to know more abut her discovery of local food and herbs in the future!

<Meeting the Practitioner- Anuradha Gupta>

Anu is in the same class with me every since the counselor program in 2018.
Anu's grand grandmother is an Ayurvedic doctor and doula back in India, but the
lineage was missed during the time when British goverment took over India (It
was the dark period of Ayurveda when it was not allowed to be performed or
studied in public. )

Anu was an engernieer and MBA in USA, but the health situation in her family
brought her to Kerala Ayurveda Academy and later she became a student. Anu works
now as a writer working for Kerala Ayurveda and Art of Living to introduce
Ayurveda from various aspects to readers. She also coopeates with Ayurvedic
doctors/vaidyas to perform consultaitons. When she has more time, she gives
community ayurvedic talks and workshops.

Today I met Anjana in Boston. Anjana did her counselor and practitioner
trainings with Kerala Ayurveda Academy and we met few times during our clinical
internships.

Anjana grew up with Ayurveda and ever since finishing her counselor training,
she started to offer cooking classes, workshops and food & lifestyle
conseltations in her community. We all have concerns before stepping into a new
profession and I appreciate to hear the suggesions from Anjana and to hear her
story.
