Hooshang, discovers fire and its many potential benefits. Then he worships through this precious element to God. This is the beginning of many professions and people start to live a more comfortable life under his rule and wisdom. He then makes canals to bring water near human dwellings.
The very day he discovered the fire remains a holly fiest, the fiest of Sadeh, as a legacy of King Hooshang.

Gayomart, the "mortal being", in Shahnameh is the very first king, civilization and human communities start with him. Ferdowsi does not follow the mainstream Zoroasterain story as told in Avesta. It is important to mention that there were several versions of the story as recorded by few historians including Abu-Reyhan and Estakhri.
In these two final fragments of the Shahnameh introduction, Ferdowsi pays tribute to his friend and supporter Amirak Mansoor and the second part which is one of the most controversial parts of the Shahnameh, Setayesh e Soltan Mahmood. This part said to be added later when Ferdowsi decided to present it to the great king of Iran then.
Abu Mansoor e Daghighi starts the Shahnameh in young age but as Ferdousi explains he gets murdered in a fight. How ever Young Ferdowsi with encouragement of a close friend dares continuing what Daghighi had already started. These verses clearly show evidence of Pahlavi knowledge of Hakim Ferdousi.
The verses in this section explain what the initial idea of gatherers of Shahnameh was and how were the wisdom and stories collected. Ferdowsi continues to bring his concerns and nostalgic motif amongst the verses.
More on etymology and a little bit about Heterograms (هزوارش ها) in Book Pahlavi script.
