On Friday, October 24th, 2015, at 10:30 am, students gathered inside the cafeteria at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. They casually chatted and ate lunch with their peers like any other normal day. Then out of nowhere, they stood frozen in horror as they witnessed five of their classmates being shot. They dropped their lunches on the ground, tripped over one another to escape, and screamed in terror as the room filled with smoke and the floors pooled over in blood. Who and why were these innocent teenagers being attacked, and who was the monster that ripped them of their young lives?
