Light’em up!  At long last, we have the conclusion og the Ghostbusters franchise and what an epic one it was.  Laugh, cry, scream - this film does it all.  Paul Rudd stars as a supporting character that is first billed while an up and coming child star shines as the granddaughter of Egon Spengler!  Have we seen this before?  After the popular failure of the 2016 reboot, we are presented an absolute gift of a legacy sequel filled with heart, humor, and a story that manages to blend modern ideas of with representation with a narrative that feels natural, courtesy of director Jason Reitman (son of the director of the original, Ivan Reitman).  With a brand new recap wrap, FIN score, and another franchise reveal to end the year, suit up and look alive as we defend the farm in Ghostbusters: Afterlife!

Who ya gonna call?  We’re going back to the 80’s where comedy peaked and the relational/romantic dynamic between men/women was.... problematic.  We ain’t afraid of no ghosts, and the people in this movie aren’t either - with several genres blended together, it manages to never take itself too seriously while also maintaining a sense of action and fun!  Except if your name is Spencer King, then it acts as a natural sleep inducer.  Grab your proton packs and get ready to roast some Stay Puft marshmallow men as we take on Gozer the Gozarian in the sleeper1984 hit adventure/horror/sci-fi comedy, Ghostbusters! The Witches are back!  Not that we asked them to be or anything, but here they are!  If you’re planning on banking in your nostalgia coins, don’t waste all your money.  Think Hocus Pocus, but with teenage girls, Walgreens, and a similar plot with a little more emotional weight at the end.  Tonight, we’ve brewed up some scores, a new Spencer Recap original, and yet another franchise reveal, so grab your BooooOOOOOOOOOOKs and join us in Salem on this All Hallows Eve us as we put another spell on you (one way or another) with the long-awaited legacy sequel, Hocus Pocus 2!
