I was exhausted. I had just gotten home from another day of forced monotony that we call a job. I wanted nothing more than to kick back with a cold beer and watch the hockey game. I walked to the fridge and grabbed a beer before shambling to the entertainment room. Still warm. Damn. I sat down in my comfiest recliner. The footrest sprung up, and I pushed the back down far enough so I could just see the TV. I grabbed the remote and hit the power button. The TV flickered on, filling the room with the sound of hockey. It wasn't the same without the cold beer.......

I'm a sophomore in a fairly good university in Boston no, not MIT or Harvard, but still one that's a bit of a chore to get into. My freshman year, I had the option to live in honors housing and decided to roll with it; after all, at least the people would be interesting. One day, a kid got what he thought was a genius idea. He'd find a way to stay overnight in his school. Just to be able to say he did it, the idea of the story that it would make thrilled him. When you are admitted to a hospital, they place on your wrist a white wristband with your name on it. But there are other different colored wristbands which symbolizes other things. The red wristbands are placed on dead people.

A mother and father decided they needed a break, not having much alone time in the almost a year since their young son, Toby, was born. They wanted to have a night out, dinner, maybe a movie, and the honeymoon suite at a local hotel to possibly give Toby a little brother or sister. They called their most trusted babysitter, who unfortunately was already engaged for the evening. But she did refer a good friend of hers, Opal, who she swore could be trusted. They spoke with the new babysitter and agreed to have her arrive no later than 6:30 so the parents could get an early start....

This all started one very normal night. No clouds in sight and stars as far as the eye could see. Some of my friends and I enjoy being scared, so much so that we actively seek out terrifying thrills. This night was no different We had spent several nights "investigating" different places of alleged high paranormal activity. Investigating probably isn't the right word to describe what several young adults are doing trying their kicks from getting their pants scared off but that's a little beside the point. The place we were on our way home from was purportedly one of the worst. Even so we had no strange encounters outside of the common creaks, moans, and bangs afforded to old buildings long past their life expectancy.

There it goes again. Something definitely moved this time. It was very brief, but out of the corner of your eye, you saw some thing. But wait. All the doors are locked, no pets, and your parents won't get home until 10. So there's no way something moved.....

We've all experienced it, right? That sudden feeling like someone is looking you. A chill runs up your spine, and you are convinced that you have to find the source of the sensation. You look around and see someone just randomly staring at you. At gives you even more of a spook, but, after a few seconds of awkwardness, it subsides. You and the person go your separate ways, never to see one another ever again, or are you?
