Supporting & Nurturing Children

How can parents support and nurture children?

Sarah's Inn counselors, Lau and Lidia, talk about a very important aspect of parenting: supporting, caring for, and protecting their children. Parents have the ability to strengthen and nurture their relationship with their children, and this can help children to grow into healthy and happy adults who are able to overcome challenges.

They'll identify and explain 8 ways parents can nurture, support, and create safety for their child/children. These are taken from the Nurturing Children Wheel. This wheel was originally developed through the Duluth Model to help support children exposed to domestic violence, but these tips can be helpful for any parent or family!
