Safeguarding is essential to protect vulnerable individuals within humanitarian and development sectors. This episode addresses how civil society organisations (CSOs) in Nigeria can improve their safeguarding case handling and investigations. We’ll hear insights from mentees and a mentor involved in RSH’s recent Investigation Mentorship Programme, offering practical advice for CSOs looking to strengthen their safeguarding practices.

Safe recruitment means integrating safeguarding elements into every step of the recruitment cycle. However, for small non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations, having a dedicated person working on human resources is often a challenge, particularly during intense times like the influx of refugees from the war on Ukraine.
