In this episode, I’m honored to welcome King Osimco to the Roll and Play Podcast. King is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and a highly respected coach in BJJ, Muay Thai, and MMA.

Originally from the Philippines, King shares his powerful story of pursuing martial arts in a country where access to training and resources was limited. He opens up about the challenges he faced balancing his passion for combat sports with building a career, and how that path led him to Canada.

Though his dream of becoming a professional fighter didn’t unfold the way he once hoped, his commitment to martial arts never faded. Instead, he transformed that passion into a lifelong journey—becoming an exceptional practitioner, coach, and mentor to the next generation of fighters.

King’s story is one of grit, resilience, and deep love for the art of BJJ. He now passes on his knowledge through his work at Evolution HQ, where he helps shape future athletes with top-tier instruction and dedication.
