I'll take you through a few quotes that resonated from Hornby's book titled 'Miss Austen.' What's a read that had you putting down the book to contemplate recently?

Episode 5: 5 Benefits of the Southern Italian Way of Life

Today I discuss and reflect a bit on this past year living in southern Italy and the positive habits and customs that I've noticed in the culture that I've participated in and look to maintain when I return back to the states. This year has been a lot of trial and error for me, so having this space to reflect on some of the positive aspects that'll stick with me for all the years to come has been really healing and touching to think about.

Episode 4: Heartbreak and Disappointment Reward Us the Most

In this month's episode I discuss something that's been on my mind lately: disappointment. It's absolutely natural to feel this, but I've been grappling with how to move through the feeling and why this sensation comes up in our bodies in the first place. Here, I talk about some of my thoughts on how this is a natural response by our bodies to indicate that a change or some type of self reflection is needed in this period of life. I truly feel that it's such a blessing that our natural instincts can intuitively call our attention to these things and try to signal to us in which direction change is needed in our lives. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did and I'm curious to hear what your take on disappointment is and how you choose to work through it <3

Episode 3: My Experience with Sexism in Southern Italy

In this episode I do a deep dive on my experiences and overall thoughts/feelings regarding the sexism and treatment that I've received specifically as a young woman in the south of Italy during the last 6 months that I've lived here. I discuss my experience with sexism and gender-based treatment in the United States and how it compares to southern Italy, and also unpack my experience here in the south a bit more by exploring how these subjects show up in my day to day life and, more specifically, at my place of work. A bit of a reflection at the end as well really wraps up this deeeeeep dive on sexism: the thing that's had the biggest impact on my mental health so far since moving abroad. Talk about culture shock.
