Former NBA star Caron Butler was born and raised in Racine, Washington, where as a teenager, Caron had repeated run-ins with the law. The last time resulted in 14 months in juvie where he realized his basketball talent. Caron became a successful professional basketball player, tv commentator, and eventually an assistant coach, but more importantly, his experience with the criminal justice system has driven him to a life dedicated to improving relations between law enforcement and communities of color, as well as helping young people reach their potential.
