RETRO TV RADIO Classic Celebrity Interviews with Host: Pat McCormack
William Keck: Discusses his book "When You Step Upon A Star-Cringeworthy Confessions Of A Tabloid Bad Boy"

William Keck openly discusses both the famous and infamous who feared or hated him, and those who transitioned to admiration or friendship. Drawing from his three decades working as an entertainment reporter for such publications as the National Enquirer, People, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today and the Los Angeles Times, and as an Emmy-nominated producer for Hallmark Channel, Discovery Channel and NBC, Keck confesses ALL about his most memorable celebrity encounters that (for one reason or another) went horribly wrong.  Far more than a shocking admission of past sins, When You Step Upon A Star chronicles the repentant author’s own evolution from a lonely only child obsessed with Hollywood stars, to an eager tabloid snoop keeping personal secrets of his own, to a well-respected journalist who ultimately learns from his mistakes, changes his wicked ways and befriends the celebrities he’d once wronged.

You'll LOVE this book friends! I for one, cannot put it down!!

Wesley Eure: The Land of the Lost Legendary Actor Returns!

Wesley Eure and Kathy Coleman love their fans! They even kinda like ME.. I think. Joking aside, they are two of the most friendly and humble celebrities I know, and I do know a few! "Land of the Lost" was a huge hit for Sid and Marty Krofft, and Sid knew Wesley Eure was perfect for the role of Will Marshall. With the show about to celebrate it's (can you believe it) 50th Anniversary, they are going strong appearing on the comic con, and fan event circuit, as they always do. But Wes and Kathy always have a secret weapon at most of these shows. We're talking the yellow raft! Well, not THE Yellow Raft but close enough! We talk about how this genius idea of Kathy's REALLY hits it off with the many fans that attend these shows, myself included! We also discuss their newest venture "Wesley and Kathy's TV Talk". Enjoy the return of my pal Wesley Eure! https://www.wesleyeure.com/  @wesleyeure3236   @wesleyandkathystvtalk  https://www.amazon.com/Run-Holly-Memoir-1970s-Classic

Naomi Grossman: "Pepper" from American Horror Story is Here! (S04 Ep.#7)

The Emmy nominated actress Naomi Grossman has worked with some of the biggest names in show business. Many of the millions of fans of the anthology series, “American Horror Story” feel her performance as “Pepper” ranked right alongside her fellow, and there were a few, major “breakout actors” in the series, e.g. Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters among others. Ironically, rather than horror or heavy drama which she's obviously mastered, it’s actually comedy where Grossman really excels! Having been a former member of the highly regarded Groundlings comedic troupe comes as no surprise while viewing her hilarious comedic shorts on her YouTube channel. Not only that, she writes and performs critically acclaimed, one woman shows. Her most current “American Whore Story”, has garnered much critical acclaim, rave reviews, and sold-out venues as she continues her run of performances across the nation and even around the world! Be sure to check out AmericanWhoreStory.com and become part of Naomi’s social media communities. You’ll find the links below. RETRO TV RADIO Classic Celebrity Interviews with Host: Pat McCormack
Discussing "Doors of Change-Solving Youth Homelessness" w/ Founder Jeffrey Sitcov (S4 Ep.#05)

Hey gang!

Here's a bit of a different type of interview for me, but I found it SO interesting AND incredibly worthwhile. While processing the episode's audio, it dawned on me (like a ton of bricks!) that MY own boy and girl fall inside the age range of the kids "Doors of Change" is working so hard to help! It's one thing to conduct an interview/conversation with the Founder and President of the organization, Mr. Jeffrey Sitcov, but to be able to go back and listen, as in this case, has REALLY touched me! Hits home.

As Jeffrey says, they don't offer "a hand-out, but a hand up." Such a great quote. I hope you'll consider offering a tax-deductible donation to this absolutely worthy cause. We did. Here are the links I promised, and if you're in or around San Diego on July 27th, go to the Concert for Hope and "Do a little dance, make a little love, and save a kid that night"!

USA TODAY: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/12/15/homelessness-in-america-grew-2023/71926354007/#

Here’s a few names you just may recognize singing their praises!

"Doors of Change, keep up the good work that you do.  My heart goes out to all of you and the youth that benefits from your efforts. Your use of art and music programs to reach and encourage homeless youth is inspired. You should be proud that your successful efforts in San Diego have been recognized and are being used in other cities across the country.”— America's Happiest TV Mom, Marion Ross (Happys Days / Brooklyn Bridge / Gilmore Girls and former San Diego Resident)

In the last year, the number of homeless youth has increased considerably. Today, more than ever before, the stress of being a teenager can be too overwhelming, too confusing and too many find themselves on our streets trying to survive. Doors of Change has discovered a unique way to connect with them, through music and art programs that have not only been saving lives, but taken our young from hopeless to hopeful. Offering more than food and shelter, they build self esteem and respect for themselves and others.— America's Most Off Beat Dysfuntional TV Mom, Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle / Pleasantville)

To be a teenager is hard enough. Hormones raging, identity crises, parents who know NOTHING, but to be a homeless teenager is a scar on all our hearts. Every child, every teen, is our responsibility. We must keep them safe and the earth solid beneath their feet, until they have found their place in this world.— America's most respected TV Mom, Michael Learned (The Waltons)

A shout out to Doors of Change. How wonderful it is to have an organization that offers a light in the dark to guide youth towards self-esteem and self-worth. Your approach to reinforcing positive attitudes and images towards ones self and others is exactly what our youth needs to face and replace the uncertainty and fear they may have of the future.— TV & Film Mom, Dee Wallace (The New Lassie / ET: The Extra-Terrestrial)

At an early age, my parents instilled in me the importance of arts to inspire and enhance our lives. I imagine that your use of art and music programs to connect with homeless youth is exactly why you have been so successful at reaching the thousands of our young who have become lost. May the rest of the country follow your lead, so that we can reach the millions still out there.— America's Most Established TV Mom, June Lockhart (Lassie / Lost In Space)

Who Killed The Golden RAGE of TV & My Anson Williams Interview (epilogue) (S4 Ep.#4)

I add an epilogue to my Anson Williams interview as I kept my promise to him that I would get his book, "Singing to a Bulldog" and read it. I am SO glad I did! Friends I can't recommend it enough. (readily available on Amazon) I know I've said that plenty of times regarding other celeb memoires, but believe me this is something special. I read it in three days and now I am going to read it again. 'Nuff said? He hit it out of the park.

Also I talk about who or what has killed The Golden RAGE of TV YouTube channel. I'm obviously the "who or what". I explain exactly why this 11-year long labor of love is being shall we say, discontinued. Not shut off mind you but, you get it. I also elaborate on my future plans to create fresh and new content (videos) and possibly a whole new brand/channel based on ALL of American nostalgia, including classic films. Stay tuned!

Anson Williams: The Iconic Actor/Director Joins Us to Discuss the 50th Anniversary of Happy Days and More! (S4 Ep.#3)

Anson Williams is a legendary talent, most recognized for his portrayal of Potsie Weber on the beloved classic TV series "Happy Days." This iconic actor, director, philanthropist, politician, and entrepreneur joins us to discuss the upcoming celebration of the landmark show’s 50th anniversary!

Anson and I delve into the wonderful aspects surrounding this Garry Marshall-created television masterpiece. We explore how Marshall helped everyone keep their egos in check when it seemed they had become the biggest, most popular phenomenon on the planet.

He asserts that Garry’s guidance and innovative thinking, such as the Happy Days Softball team, played a crucial role in creating lifelong friendships that persist to this day. The ironclad camaraderie forged helped them all secure a permanent place in American Television history.

We also touch upon Anson’s significant creative contributions as a producer and director of various TV series and stage shows, including the highly acclaimed one he’s currently involved in. "Crazy Mama" stars General Hospital’s Carolyn Henesey and is set to debut in 2024!

Be sure to check out the production of "Crazy Mama" when it makes its debut in New York, and hopefully at an off-Broadway venue. Follow Anson at https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=anson%20williams.

Dreama Denver: Bob/Gilligan's Lovely Wife Joins Us for the Season 03 Finale "Skipper!"

Enjoy this interview with the enchanting and talented Dreama Denver. As an actress/activist turned acclaimed author, she was the devoted wife and soul mate of the late Bob Denver, who, as Gilligan, is absolutely one of the most recognizable faces in television... EVER!

Her award-winning memoir, "Gilligan’s Dreams: The Other Side of the Island," speaks of their lives as independent actors who, once they began to work together, quickly discovered they had an undeniable chemistry. This led to a beautiful love story and marriage that lasted until his passing in 2005.

After their only child was diagnosed with severe autism, the two faced this challenge head-on with love and perseverance above and beyond what most people could only dream to achieve!

Dreama has so many in-depth achievements that I couldn't even begin to list them all here! So I invite you to "sit right back and hear the tale" in this wonderful interview. Go to www.BobDenver.com to learn even more about this fascinating, and might I add, extremely compassionate woman.

Special thanks to our mutual "Energizer Bunny" pal, the super-talented Kathy Garver, for helping the two of us to connect!

Adam Weissmuller is someone who knows how to tell a tale and keep the legacy of a great man alive! As #TARZAN, his grandfather #JohnnyWeissmuller had, and might I add, still HAS, legions of fans. In my opinion, and that of many others, he was the very best actor to ever portray the Lord of the Jungle! But he was also a multi-dimensional man who was not only a real-life hero but also a great humanitarian. He was also an Olympic champion swimmer who, by the way, never lost a race despite his unconventional swimming style. It was as though the role of Tarzan was tailor-made for the man! Enjoy the fascinating stories from grandson Adam and hear about the combined experience that he and I share! The conversation gets a bit colorful at times, but hey, what do you expect from a couple of old #SantaCruz beach bums! Loretta Swit: Iconic Actress from M*A*S*H* RETURNS! (Season 03 Ep.#10)

When you hear the name "Major Margaret Hot-Lips Houlihan," do you think of the original portrayal by Sally Kellerman in the classic big screen version of MASH? Although her performance was very memorable, my guess is that most of us think of the great Loretta Swit, who, throughout MASH's eleven-year run, truly owned the character, helping to shape Margaret into the multi-dimensional head nurse that we all know and sometimes... love to hate! Well, today we are being rejoined by this legendary actress to discuss her work with her charity organization, The Switheart Animal Alliance, and the ways it continues to help transform the lives of people and all our animal friends. Loretta is the portrait of enthusiasm and energy, as you'll hear; she absolutely still loves going to events to meet and greet her many fans at autograph and jewelry maker events, as well as Cameo calls. She creates dazzling artwork, as you'll see in her second printing of her watercolor illustrations book "Switheart," now with a new foreword from Mike Farrell! She also offers her popular women's fragrance, also called Switheart, and her very own jewelry line, each to benefit the animal alliance. Be sure to check out www.switheart.org, which helps raise the needed funds for their important animal alliance work. Loretta is offering the amazing products we discussed there, and you can also keep up to date on all her future personal appearances. Loretta Swit could not be more thrilled or proud of the response to new fragrance, called SwitHeart, in its trademark heart-shaped bottle. Exclusively for SwitHeart Animal Alliance Donors. "I love perfume, and I love creating, so I’m excited to announce my new perfume, SwitHeart," satys Loretta Swit. "Anyone who donates $55 will receive a bottle of SwitHeart, my very own blend of orange flower, jasmine, sandalwood, musk, patchouli and vanilla." SwitHeart perfume is not available in stores – it is only for donors to my SwitHeart Animal Alliance nonprofit! All proceeds go to the nonprofit. About SWITHEART Jewelry Promo - https://youtu.be/vK16btl6us4 ABOUT SwitHeart: Loretta Swit set up SwitHeart Animal Alliance to prevent cruelty and end animal suffering, to promote and cooperate with numerous nonprofit organizations and programs that protect, rescue, train, and care for animals and preserve their habitat, while raising public awareness about issues that concern domestic, farm, exotic, wild, and native animals and their well being.
